As far as I remember it offers the option, but the entry points don't actually work in game. The dragons6 way is the only that's worked for me over the years.
There's a possible issue here. If your map is smaller than full size (the H2H starter bench is a good example here) The game still works as if its full size. So you can only build entrances on the 2 side that would be the edge of the map if the map was full size. The best way to check this out is open the map view in Codex and see which sides those are.
Been ages since I installed LL. The guide is still valid though and the game runs fine.
But, I cannot switch to fullscreen in Windows10 anymore, and I've always disliked the slowdown when running windowed mode. Anyone know how to fix this?
EDIT: I googled up the info that it's because of Microsoft's deprecated DirectDraw 2d accelerator code which old games like RCT use, but which isn't fully supported in Windows10 anymore. Been trying to find fixes...
I have it working fine in win10, at least no different than win8. Yeah the slowdown sucks though, but ive been dealing with that for years so i dont really notice anymore
I'm on a machine now where LL was installed on Win7 from which Microsoft's upgrade to Win10 took place. Now on Win10 LL works just as fine as it always has.
If the ride isn't peepable, you can sink the huts using codex. And you might be able to spin them with Beast trainer, but that could be a RCT2-only feature with Son of Beast.
There was a way to sink huts with Dragons6 I believe. "Sink scenery objects" or something when having chosen the repsective tiles with a certain texture.
Hate to bump such an old topic but I got a new laptop with windows 10 and got RCT 1 working again but it only works in windowed mode...is there any way to get it to work in full screen mode? I've checked to run as administrator and compatibility mode for windows 8 (the most recent choice) but that doesn't fix it. It's really annoying to play in windowed mode. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Not that I know of, I think its a compatibility thing with the newer versions of Windows.
I usually play LL and RCT2 in windowed mode, might take a bit of time to get used to but its easier to tab out and stuff like that and have stuff running in the background.
Yeah G explained the most logical reason, tbh I've not tried to run it in full-screen mode as I've used windowed mode in LL forever, but it is most likely a compatibility issue.
Also would most likely give you horrible resolution issues that you don't get with windowed mode.

Sorry, I meant guest entry points. Not 100% sure SGM can do that but if my memory is correct it worked when I tried it.

I find this a bit annoying.
We need someone to write a patch for LL to run in higher resolutions and using the newer DirectX APIs.

Maybe a dumb question, but how do I make entrance/exit huts invisible? And how they I turn them a quarter?

Hm, I kind of put of Codex for awhile. But I guess I'll need to start on that too.
Thanks!

This doesn't exist for LL's Beast?

How do you get windowed LL for the GOG version?

So easy ... I didn't think it would be an option in-game.
