    ... whenever i try to download the update, or the drexler patch it dosnt work, says this version of the game is unrecognizable, wrong language, or my game is currupted :'( (well i know its not that since ive never used a trainer) and when i tried the uk version it says the same
    and when i download the drexler patch it says, that i installed it badly, even though i downloaded it completly

    tornado6, thanks for the info about the bundle name for the uk.
    however, merely "running" the game is something else than opening parks offered for download on this site.

    Yeah, you have to get the original RCT, then buy LL seperate.

    I have 3 LL discs I just realized :huey: ... For some reason I also have two copies of Wacky Worlds (not installed) and a copy of Time Twister (likewise). What's your mailing address, Kumba? :p

    Im trying to install LL on my main computer atm, but am hitting a snag with:

    1.4 open sv4 by double-click under winxp
    opening an sv4 by double-click only works in win98 by default. when trying on a winxp machine, an "invalid data" error prompts up.
    to solve this, do the following.
    in any directory, click tools > folder options. select file types and highlight sv4.
    click advanced.
    a new window appears.
    click "change icon" and select your rct.exe. in the box below choose the bottom left icon. click ok.
    on the list of actions, it should say "open" in bold. if it's not there, make it and click the "set default" button for it (if it's grey and unclickable then don't mind).
    make sure "open" is selected and click edit.
    check use dde and set the following lines.

    application used to perform action: "[...]\RCT.EXE" %1
    dde message: <blank>
    application: RCT
    dde application not running: <blank>
    topic: system


    I enter: "[...]\RCT.EXE" %1 but then when I hit ok an error comes up saying "The specified program could not be found. Make sure the file and path are correct"

    So instead of that I just put: "C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\RollerCoaster Tycoon\RCT.EXE" and it seemed to work but when the game opened I had this window pop up over the park:

    So what am I doing wrong here?

    Is it really that important... LL loads basically instantly so just opening the other way is just as quick.

    Whatever, but I am actually having a bigger problem with LL. I run it in window mode and when I exit the game my mouse won't click on anything. The only way around this was ctrl+alt+delete which seemed to get everything working again on my old computer, but now on this one sometimes I can't even do that sometimes and I just need to re-set my computer.

    So anyone have some answers? Me having LL would be really good for NE as I could look at stuff without taking so long.

    actually, doubleclicking sv4s is extremly convenient in my opinion and i was overjoyed when adix found the workaround.

    Kumba,
    it seems maybe some paths are fucked up. reeks of a typo. yet i suppose you double-checked already.
    the computer you are on, did it have rctll installed formerly?
    maybe you didn't properly uninstall it beforehand so there's a mixture of paths in the registry now?

    This does come from window mode I think. Try right clicking a couple times on the taskbar after you close rct and you should be able to click around.

    ok i have a problem, I installed RCT on its own, than I installed LL, than I downloaded the official patch(RCTLL-US(I am running the US version)) and it just says
    "Unable to update files
    Unrecognised game version, wrong language, or game files are corrupted"
    I haven't dled the drexler patch yet and everytime I open LL, it just shows the original scenarios and nothing new :<img src=:' />

    looks like rctll wasn't properly installed. when you insert the rctll disc, does the autorun prompt you with "play" or "install" ?

    My game was already the version needed :p
