deadline rhythm = 14 days
3 matches after each deadline
14/3= 4.67 days ~ 112.08 hours
to minimise the wait intervals between each matches for you guys, geewhzz and i would ideally post a new matchup every 112 hours. this is not possibly because we have to meet online when doing it to be able to chat. so the post times will vary +/- around the 112 hours.
5) All Teams receive the chance of a one-time deadline extension of 3 days. This counts for the entire contest. The captain of the team has to create a written record (captains lounge post or private message posix) in order to make use of this option. It has to be dated before the respective deadline.
Another thing, this kinda screws the first round parks (namely the Flying Germans, but even then 3 days probably wouldn't have been enough to finish that). Kind of makes it unfair now, don't you think?
And as for my further opinion on why I don't believe it should continue/be possibly to use this in the playoffs is because if you're in the playoffs you should already have you best saved up for it. There should be no reason why a three day extension would be warranted, as I'm sure each team already has ideas panned out should they get that far with who they have in mind to create the entry/entries. I dunno... it just doesn't seem right for this to be used in a playoff situation...

Why unfair? Nobody had the chance to do this, so it was fair.
But we were the only team having real trouble with finished. I am sure the park would be been finished if we had 3 more days and it would have affected the voting certainly.
However, I am not against this rule even though it would have been very useful in round 1.
The only problem I can see with this rule is that it could be used several times against one team, which could be a disadvantage for that team.
This could be fixed by dropping the relative score of the team using the deadline extension by 20%. This way it also affects the avg. rel. vote of the team and the teams not using an extension during round robin get an advantage out of it.
However this only works if this rule does not apply for the playoffs - or if all teams get another extension for the playoffs - as the teams saving the extension for the playoffs would get an advantage twice in that case.
I think the rule works fine as is. Humans make mistakes, I think one three day extension is fine, and should sort any troubles teams have from now on. Nothing more is needed I think, this is just a game after all.
well our team probally wont need it. but its nice for the other teams.
probally we'll save it up so ryan can put some more of his awesomeness in one of his parks when we need it .
