GigaG: Based on what i've seen so far, I have to tell you this: On this website, theming is everything, and coaster layouts take a backseat. Focus on your theming, just don't go overboard. Go 60-40 on the theming/layout ratio, just make sure the coaster isn't suckish. I'm not saying this sucks (too much), it's just that you need more practice at your theming. Have a look at my RCT Fair. It was excellent, but I focus mainly on the coasters, and that was my biggest flaw, and why it didn't get a better score. The last areas were a little rushed, but that's beside the point. Practice makes perfect. Keep at it, you'll eventually become a great parkmaker.

Mont Cervin was a disappointment, just no themeing and the layout was meh. I expected a lot more when I saw those two names on the entry.
hmm. I happened to really like the layout, but could never find a decent use for it.

I'll be back again this month.

I haven't followed this much. Is it simply a free-for-all with any theme/style etc? Basically a monthly spotlight of micro size? If so I may need to try my luck.

Yeah that's pretty much how it is, just there is not stranded to win (like spotlights), it's just best of the month, hence the name.

Also please PM me if you'd like to judge this month and I'll send out the entries around midnight.

Another great month of micros is in the books as our top 3 is all first time entrants. Wheres_walto came out on top with his atmospheric North Beach entry. Dimi comes in a close second with Lofoten and it's scenic bobsled ride. rcwhiz11 grabs third place with his awesome treehouse park. Chocotopian submits a record matching third entry that sports a pretty good micro duel.

Damn, so I guess you didn't receive mine?

Anyway, I dont think I would have won against walto and dimi. However I like dimis more since there was a great atmosphere and there was something moving, which wasn't the case in waltos.
Congrats on the win though.

Wow interesting results from the judges
I had the order going rcwhizz, Dimi, walto

Really the loved the idea of the Tree Fort, and Dimi's had a really nice atmosphere with the landscaping. Walto's was just something we've seen done recently before only half as good here, what was going on with the end of the coaster?

Not really....it's heavily themed to "summer". And, while I realize that Sept. is still considered to be "summer", this was intended to be more of a 'school's out, let's play' kind of thing. But, we'll see.
