anyway, i wasn't really a big fan of the park, sorry. it was way too fucking cramped for me, and didn't really seem like a busch gardens park to me. the realism as far as rides go was great, but other than the rides, the park really didn't appeal to me. and those smoke puffs got so damned annoying. they really ought to basically never be used again. wonderful skill, definitely one of the best entries in the contest, it just didn't appeal to me.
the rides, however, were great. the invert was one of the best i've seen, and those woodies were fun to watch, even though they did kind of falter the last half. the water rides were all great, especially those rapids.
so in conclusion, it's a great park but i didn't like it. the rides were really the only things i really liked in the park, but i'm sure i'll look at it later. congrats on the gold, phatage.

The entrance was much of the jungle/forest area (what was that themed to, BTW? At first I sort of got a Hawaiian impression, but then more of a Native American based forest feeling, which makes much more sense.). Basically, a lot of that area was the outside part of the park, where you buy your tickets and such, then eventually you actually enter the park, and you're still in the same section.
Anyways, I'll look at the park more later, and hopefully give a much longer review, since it definitely looks worthy of one. I'm still about 6 parks behind though.
EDIT: BTW, Taco Bell=Authentic American Food?
EDIT2: Also, I noticed that because of this contest, Australia now has two new Busch parks.

It looked like a Busch park to me because of the jungly area and the water rides. I too loved the added bobsled track to the log flume, that was cool!
The park did not lag for me?? and I'm not understanding why those smoke puffs make it lag for others. I viewed the park without peeps, I would think peeps make it lag more than those smoke puffs.
Congratulations Phatage

Have explored the park for just half an hour or so (still without the peeps), and will need many many more hours to really "visit" it.(looking forward to that!!)
The only things I can say so far: Indeed, it is not a "beauty" of a park to look at when you are zoomed out. And that seems the only ,tiny tiny, downpoint , for once closer by, you immediately forget that, as every corner of the park draws you in (is that good English??it's not my mothertongue). And after all, though I love an aesthetic view in parks, with a "realistic park" no company will ever design an amusement park to give the guests an awesome look when they fly over it, they of course want the guests inside their park instead of hiring a helicopter to view it from above!
And If ever you feel like a guest yourself in an RCT2 park , it is here!! I was just drawn into the screen to enjoy the overwhelming amount of unique realistic details: closer I wanted, closer and still closer than my screen would let me. Already took some of the nice trees away to see what's under it, awed at the rainbow, followed the paths with the steps as well as slopes (for the wheelchairs and kid's buggies?, what a great idea!)
What a great hanging lights you found out! What an amazing Ferris Wheel! What... etc. etc.... plus all the things I have not discovered yet (and are not mentioned here yet.)
Gem of a park!
Excellent coasters and amazing support work as well as extra and unique details on the coasters and rides and surprising hacks throughout the park. Loads of substance and contents. (please do something like this on a larger bench!)
A deserved win for sure (though I still have to explore some others that seem great as well).
No, I had no lags either, even if my computer is far from being top notch. But until now I looked whitout peeps. Normally I only gets lags in parks with many peeps combined with the "music on". So I really doubt if the smoke (or any animated scenery) does have anything to do with the lags that others experience.
^ Please do so quickly then Steve! I would love to read/see that post, not because I don't love to explore the park by myself, but because I am soooo curious to see/read all that you have discovered ! (thanks in advance for your post Steve, as well as even more thanks to Metro to actually do a "little things" so speedy, enjoyed that)
Surprise Trav??
Congrats again Phatage, enjoy the win!

BTW Enigmatic, I'd just love you to post a large review for the #2 park, I'd like to know what you really think.

Wicked park Phatage. Obviously too crammed to be a real Busch Gardens, which is sort of what threw the atmosphere off for me. If it were on a larger scale where I could analyze each section without being distraction, it'd be incredible. Still, a really fun and refreshingly realistic park! You have so many great ideas going on, so much creativity. One thing I noticed though was the invert track going under the station. You've somewhat accounted for the hydraulics and stuff to raise and lower the floor, but I dunno. It'd be interesting to know the logistics of that and the other stuff they put underneath stations. (If track were to go under a station, it'd be an inverted coaster more than likely, since the breaks and track are completely up top)
Engimatic, grow up. It's neither funny nor productive.

Currently I'm calling Denali the best invert I've seen in RCT because I can't remember another example that would instead have that position. Congo Bongo is a close second. Inverts are a field which has kind of been deprived of really spectacular, masterful designs throughout the years. I always get annoyed when people dub newly released woodies "the best ever made," because, well, Foozy was making better woodies four years ago than anyone is now; B&M twisters, similar story, and for other types of coasters too. But I think this can safely be called one of the best ever in the invert department even only hours after its release, and one that people should take inspiration from if no others.
Phatage, if you read this, I'd like to have like a friendly "coaster-off" or something with you sometime in the future, just for kicks. Just design against design, for fun. You'd undoubtedly kick my ass in the theming department but it would still be a good time. The reason I like Denali and many of your other coasters so much, and the reason I'm interested in doing something like that, is that they remind me of similar things I've done and want to do with coaster layouts. It's really nice to see another person who simultaneously pursues creativity and "rideability" in coaster designs with the same energy that I do in my own. I realize I am boasting horribly here by implication, but oh well.
Congrats again.

gir, correct me if we have different ideas of crampedness but Busch parks are often "cramped" as it fits the theme that they are accurately depicting. Take these pics from both parks for example (also note the scale of the person to the path and area):
This may seem a normal path width, but then take into consideration that this is the entrance to BGW.
I can see that an overhead view shows crampedness, but I still feel that a ground view reveals coziness and accuracy.
