    So, after a good while of figuring out how to get access to the joomla acp, then how to post updates, then collecting logo, gallery screens, aerial screen, write-up, we're now ready to make our update queue lose some weight. Co-Admin Carl presents his new solo Big Timber Creek Park.

    i really liked this park.
    the bulidings have a very nice old realstic disney feal. well it least towards me.
    but one thing, why to inverts?

    Thanks for the compliment on the archy, Nokia, that is one of the things I was concentrating on. And if you mean the B&M invert and the Vekoma invert, i figured it was ok cause they arent from the same manufacturer.

    Well done Carl, I don't have RCT2 but from what I can see in the screenshots it's a very believable and flowing style. This is one of those parks that I wish I had RCT2 to view.

    The park is by no means bad, refreshing in atmosphere and all the rides are quite well designed with the limited amount of scenery. My main issue with the park(if you'll pardon the following oxymoron) is that in the tradition of all great runner ups, there is only really one theme. It's clear that you've noticed this as I've seen overviews of your newer project, but the foliage, paths, and architecture all start to look the same as you browse the park. The layout, though is quite good and better than in most spotlights and blockbusters. In short, with some more variation in architecture, foliage, or pathing, this park could have gone from a runner up to a blockbuster and with all of those things, perhaps even a spotlight. It's only a good park but feels great, because most of NE is comparable to three siamese twins joined at the stomach, claiming two thirds of the same steak. Nevermind creative nourishment, just cough up the same old phlem over and over again. :supersecretonceinalifetime:

    Well I haven't viewed the park yet due to my current computer issues but from the screens it looks nice.

    One thing I would like to say is that for this Parkmaker Review thing, I think it would be better if the maker was asked to provide some more general info (like the dates in this one) about the park in their writeup. It wouldn't have to be forced in or in any kind of format but I think some general info like the type of coasters, areas, guest spots (if any) and other stuff like that would make it a bit more interesting to read. Not bad for a first attempt though.

    And what's with the pinkish red backgrounds on the logo and overview? I'm not too fond of it...

    yeah, i suggested to do this in the backstage forum, remember? i think we would rather have this done by a script in the future, providing realiable information.

    The only things I really liked was the park's layout, and the B&M Flying's layout. Well done!
    Beside that I'm not very positive, sorry:
    The coasters were quite slow, the architecture is boring, the objects are horrible and there isn't a recognizeable theme. Also, the foliage didn't look finished on a lot of places.
    Don't get me wrong: It isn't bad, just boring.

    Still congrats on finishing this, this deserved Runner-Up!

    It really gave me a good feeling :)
    You used the "unsualy" obejcts in a way that made them look very good.

    And a plus for haveing peeps, to me that give some good feeling to :p

    Great job Carl. I thought the park was excellent. It's layout and architecture was really good (not to mention it is peep friendly which is always great.)

    I was happy to see that you had the peeps pay for the rides rather the park entrance. But how ever, I didn't like how you named your coasters and gave them company names (like how you gave the Vekoma Inverted coaster interlocking corkscrews and no Vekoma inverted coaster has that). The layouts were interesting to say the least but over all they weren't realistic. But that's okay becasue that cancels out with everything else.

    The park did reek of atmosphere and I loved the interaction with the rides and buildings. Great job man on a well deserved runner up! :)

    So i got a new uber PC last week that can run any game no problem full settings. I had trouble with RCT on my previous system with lag (lots of waterfalls/smoke/peeps etc), so I thought I'd reinstall RCT2 to look at a few parks.

    First one I downloaded was his, and my god its beautiful. I LOVE parks with peep interaction, they come to life and the atmosphere is awesome. All the coasters were lots of fun to watch and themed wondefully. The architecture was really original and unique and made me realise how far the game has come since I used to play it.

    Great work Carl (ride_exchanger?), deserving of the runner up spot.

    I was planning on uninstalling after looking at a park but this park stopped me doing that, I've got loads of parks to view tonight :D
