Really nice...isn't that kind of stadium (not sure of what it is) like the one you made in CTP?...anyway, I reallylike haoy you handle realism on your parks. Good job.
Congrats 5Dave, on a really nice road rally winner!
I enjoyed the obliged reverser(s), the fine overall layout of the park, nice landscaping and the very happy buildings with it's consistent friendly balconies and sunscreens.... Also loved the little touches like towels on the beach made of the flatroof-pieces, and the landmarks ..
EkimmeL:Nice park but it really didn't give me the feeling of Brazil.
LoL!^ please describe me then what would haven given you "a Brazilian feel" then (?), apart of course from the awesome waterfalls of 1st Runner Up Old Red.......
I don't know this part of Rio myself either, but one of the judges still living in Brazil during many many years, judged it as an exact representation of that part of Rio......
Anyway, very nice job 5dave! (and for you of course "MFG")
Old Red's incredible waterfall map was my favorite, but you had a lot of nice ideas on this map too. I think the landscaping could have been done better -- seems a little flat -- but your buildings are well done as usual.
Rio seems like a flat city from the pictures that I've seen. I enjoyed it, but the architecture looked strikingly similar to that of your NSS winning entry and you made a similar looking stadium in Calypso Theme Park LA. It looked somewhat like Rio De Janiero, but the park suffered slightly from an identity crisis.

@G-Ride: Yes unfortunatly it turned out a bit similar to my last park - wonderland pier. But the architecture and the landscape is very different. The only thing that may be similar is the beach-feeling the whole park has. First I also wanted to make a rounded stadium, but that looked crappy and so I went with my old design at Calypso.
I made that park in 1 week or so, so that was a bit stressfull to me, but I finally made it.
BTW the park, I can ALREADY tell from the overview that your elevation changes are not NEARLY enough to represent Rio de Janeiro. They must be SEVERE and not gradual, as the mountains themselves are much taller than the surrounding buildings.
the jesus statue really gave it the feel of rio. The archy of the buildings is fantastic, too.
You guys have to see that he had to build rides, too. He did not rebuild rio. That you could not do on such a small map. ANd if he would have built a fuckin high hill, it would look stupid. I think its a good and entertaining brazilian map and if all you guys can make that so much better: then do it!
