I get it just fine, and I'm glad that you have your opinions. As for what the Spotlight does to some people (or however you put it), that's harsh language. Yes, Spotlight is a great honor, and I am grateful to Iris for the privelege (considering his stance on WW), but if you are insuating that I have somehow suddenly morphed into some kind of arrogant asshole, sorry but no. I have always stated opinions that I have plainly and sometimes bluntly.
All I hear is:

Blah, blah, blah, I'm a dirty, arrogant tramp.

Loosely translated. Tone down the cockiness...its annoying to say the least.

It's sad that this has happened. You know what? Fuck it. If this is how people are going to respond when I ask an honest question, then take the damn spotlight back. Seriously man, all I was asking was a simple question, and you chose to jump down my throat. Frankly I don't need it.

It was really all needed. You may be a GREAT parkmaker, but truth be told, you're still an NE n00b, and sometimes you just need to be in your place, frankly.

You might have won the spotlight and have EXTREME rct2 talent , but honestly...don't brag about. There are some cocky parkmakers, and I don't like them. Its an honor to be a parkmaker, and definetely something you have to earn. So if you do get that spot, be proud of it, don't strut around here like you own the place.

Sorry about the 'bluntness' of it all, but its true. You just need to realize this.

It's cool Meretrix, your spotlight was deserved I'm sure of that. I think all that TT was saying is that the things that make DTA a great Disney park (enclosed rides, facades) make it tough to judge whether you can build more traditional buildings and coasters. I haven't been able to look at the park myself so I can't elaborate on that but that seems like a logical statement to me. You've got a spotlight, you don't need to prove yourself anymore. Just build what you want, and what feels right. Just by the natural principle of growth your next park will undoubtedly be better so you can count on a long and prosperous RCT future. Even if you don't agree with other people's criticism, in most cases they aren't just trying to cut you down, they mean well. Take the criticism that seems useful to you and ignore the rest, that's all anyone can do. This probably won't mean anything to you know, I can understand why you reacted the way you did, but just take a little time to calm down and you'll be better off. I've learned after the big discussion over Erwindale Forest in the h2h2 area that sometimes peoples comments take on a slightly different meaning depending on what mood you're in. I feel kinda silly about how I reacted then in retrospect. On the other hand, it's good to blow off steam too. Damn me and my indecissive brain.

Thorp, shut the hell up. Sounds more like your jealous than Meretrix is cocky. In my eyes you're a n00b here as well. In my eyes so am I.

Other than that. Meretrix, i recommend you just suck up the drama and dance away from the subject. Better be grateful and accept the critisism, than question every differing point of view.

I think it'd be better pming TT about it though, or maybe aiming.

Looks like things got a bit out of hand, so sorry I didn't reply earlier. Basically Coaster Ed summed up my thought processes. I wasn't criticizing DTA at all, just pointing out that the style of park you chose doesn't really show off the more traditional aspects of coaster design and architecture that most of us use to judge fellow parkmakers. I know why you made DTA in the style you did and it works. I was just saying that I need to see more of your work before I can really judge the overall quality of your parkmaking. Funny thing about all this is that I really like Tilted Acres and think it was a worthy spotlight.

Guys, guys...am I a n00b?

Really, who cares? I'm in the same boat as you, Meterix, I've been playing the game forever, but I'm still new (okay not really but compared to Ed, iris, Grinch, SAC, JH, etc...) to the community and although I've completed about 15 projects, I'm still working on finishing my second mega park as well. AND I have many flaws in my parks, true I've been told I'm creative but my architecture is only just now starting to come around (I've learned a lot by playing RCT2, really, it helps put RCT1 in perspective) and my coasters SUCK. Well, am I a n00b then? I don't think anyone will tell you that. Really what defines a n00b in my opinion is arguing ability; that is, to know what to say and to know what to ignore, and ability to not take things too seriously. Try to take that in consideration, ok?

P.S. I like NeViS' architecture...

Thanks Pym, I made the logo. It is supposed to be simple "from another era", not flashy and wild. Think Disney in the 1950's. Also, since this logo is floating around on the net, I thought it best to NOT put the words Walt and Disney anywhere near this logo, lest the people at Webshots, or wherever else this gets posted, takes it down for copyright infringement reasons (This happened to Mad Dawg with his new Six Flags park)

ANNNYWAYS..I do wish I could see the park to see why everyone is so crazy about it...but I don't EVER plan on getting Wacky Worlds, unless forced to..

So in the future, could you please um..not include any Wacky Worlds objects?

I've uninstalled WW shortly after I release one of my parks (Wonka), realizing that even though I used no WW scenery, because it was created with WW installed...it became a WW park. I vowed to keep WW away from my computer from then on.

Like Iris, I also went back on my word. I reinstalled WW (if only for about an hour) simply to view Tilted Acres. You did an outstanding job on this park. There were so many small details that I was simply amazed by, especially near Space Mountain (although I didn't particularly care for Space Mountain's layout). I ended up pausing the game and just slowly looking around the park and taking it all in. I did, however, find myself getting disoriented and had to minimize the map several times to figure out where I had been and what was still to be seen. I think I would have liked the castle to be a straight shot from the entrance, but I really liked the entrance being built on an angle, so I guess that would have been out of the question.

This is probably the best park I have seen to date...and I congratulate you.

I've never been to a Disney Park myself, but I feel like I have now.

The moral of the story is: a good parkmaker can find what's good about WW or any other shitty expansion packs and use it to their advantage. That doesn't make it worth $30, but it isn't totally useless either. Just don't use the really ugly stuff.
