Yes, it's been quite a while...about two months since the unveiling of the last spotlight here at New Element, and it's been hard finding a park to follow SA's Rivers of Babylon, but we do have a new park to showcase...Audrix Towers by Posix and x-sector. The first duo park to ever win the NE Spotlight is an outstanding LL creation, (also known as "Project 5HiNE througout it's entire creation) featuring some of the best themed areas ever seen and some beautiful rides. Congratulations to two of the brighest stars left at New Element!!

Beautiful. The orange and Aztec areas were mindblowing. I am really loving it. The other areas were lacking, boring and dry. Though, Rigor Mortis could quite possibly be my favorite wooden coaster. Awesome design, makes up for the dullness. The castle was too flimsy and thin also. Good job though, definetly a spotlight winner.

Wow guys. You've set the bar for the rest of us. I don't know what other people are working on right now, but this is the most impressive thing I've seen in LL. It isn't just well done though, it's impossibly well done. It's "how did they do that" well done. I'll try to go through what impressed me most:

First of all, the ride in the Aztec area was what impressed me the most. It was just all over the place and yet it looked perfect and a lot of fun. I really don't know how you made that. It's really the highlight of the park IMO.

Posix's wooden coaster Rigor Mortis is his best coaster as far as I'm concerned. It really isn't that hard to make a B&M coaster look good, but wooden coasters are a different story. Wonderful pacing (it's fast from beginning to end) and all the twists and turns look great. Everything I said I didn't like about Raindrop Riviera - lack of contrast, redundancy, flatness - has been perfected with your work here.

That castle in the center was perfect. The elevated walkways and towers, just enough windows, ladders and accents in all the right places. This just shows what can be done with LL. Again, I can't even imagine making something like that. It's the most consistent theme in the park. I can point to this and tell you that's what a lot of my work tries to do. It's not a park, but it's a great use of RCT's tools to create something cool.

X-Sector, your detail amazes me. The Sunshine Underground reminds me a bit of your Hi-Roller park and that's a very good thing. The way you layer details upon each other creates a really vibrant park atmosphere. The dueling coasters were fit nicely into the theme especially the huge burst of coaster track coming out the top of the volcano. It's going to take me a long time to see all the details in this section alone.

The entrance area really shows off what X-Sector does best - mixing different textures and pieces of theming together to create a memorable theme. Great use of wooden track and mazes for the roofs.

With everything in this park you guys have taken parkmaking to the next level. Only RRP's SWA is even close to the level of perfection you've achieved with this park. There's no pretending anymore. Being pretty good won't cut it. By demanding perfection from yourselves, you've demanded perfection from the rest of us because anything less just won't match up. And I admire you for that (almost as much as I hate you for it :@ ).

:birthday: indeed. :D

The screens do look lovely, but as I'm having a bitch of a moment with LL and my machine, I'm not able to view the park. Congrats on a very much sought after Spotlight....

I like this style..(Overview was GREAT!)
and.. white color brown..good!
• RRP%s's Photo
good job guys you have certainly got a great park there. Its kinda a contrasting park imo because you both have very different styles but thats what i think makes it so good and unusual as it is suitable for pretty much everyone.

The woody in posix's dark area is definately the best ride, it just looks and runs so smooth great job with that awesome ride whoever made that im not to keen on the area tho as its a bit too bare if you know what i mean however the bare aztec area is just plain awesome and is pulled of perfectly.

Im not to keen on x's area tho, they seem way OTT in a way which doesn't look good and there is just far to many windows around for me.The other thing that bothers me is that I know X can make amazing coasters and hacks but to me the duellers look like they were just rammed in to fill the space and then hidden by trees.I would've prefered it if they stood out on their and were made the main centrepiece with all the trimmings.

well done both of you anyway

i love posix :yup:

this park was great, the map was great, the castle as the center piece was my fav, great job guys, a well deserved win!

OH

MY

FUCKING

GOD.

A park done by my two most favorite parkmakers (well at least now they are...even tho x has been since a while ago)...amazing colors. I like the middle castle area, very classy. Sunshine Underground was amazing..definetely the best thing x-sector has ever done. Looks alot like his Hi-Rollers though...but the coasters make up for it I think. Posix was a freakin milestone also in this park. Aztec was simply amazing..probably better than all of sac's Aztecs put together, which is scary. The coaster is just wonderful, I am liking the vertical drop..nice touch. Now for the best area in the park by FAR, Terranus. What a beautiful area. Seriously..the coaster was magnificent...the theming was just...wow. I am blown away.

Best Area: Terranus
Best Coaster: The Stone of Tizoc

Well done both of you...a well deserved win.

Wow I can't believe it thanks Iris and most of all thank you posix for being a great online Mate and letting me work with you I know our styles evolved while making this park but I agree with rrp they seem to go together as well. Thanks Mate

Thanks for all the lovely comments. I didn't think people would like the castle in the middle I built it and was quite proud of it just because it was a bit different and not like the castles most people build but after I built it I was unsure if the great NE community would like it.

I'll say what I thought about posix's areas as it seems I didn't seem to tell posix what I felt about them (off course its all good stuff :)) the Aztec area well this is the area I saw the most progress on. I knew the coaster would be a huge success it looked amazing and fun before any of it was themed and the area just grew on me more and more as it progressed. The water ride I loved when I first saw it, it was the way it just fitted so perfectly in the area and the way it was built. Posix you have skills much better than me.

His final area I didn't get to see this through construction as it felt like he built it within a day :) When I got to see it, It was great I be honest and say it looked a lot different to what I was thinking posix might do but after I looked and looked at this area the more I loved it. The woodie is awesome and the whole look and feel is amazing.

RRP I agree about my coaster. It was the last thing to theme and by that time I had been working on my area non-stop and was slowly getting tied of it so in the end it was just treed. I would change it now and try and make it more of a feature in the whole area. I'm still happy with the way it turned out still.

Cheers keep those lovely comments coming :)

Great park!
I really like this park, and I'm sure it'll grow with time.
The orange area is probably my favourite, great colours, architecture, landscaping, atmosphere, everything! Very nice coaster(s?) too, I actually like when coaster's aren't the centerpiece of an area, but a part of the whole.
The aztec area was great too, original architecture and what I think is the best coaster of the park, I love how it interacts with pretty much everything around it.
Wonderful wooden coaster, and although I didn't really like that bare look the first time I saw the area around it, it's getting better and better.
That entrance area isn't quite as good as the rest of the park IMO. It's still a great area, but not in comparision to the near-lying masterpieces.
Words cannot describe how much I like that castle. It's so complex and beatiful.
Great spotlight, almost enough to excuse the long wait :)
• Kumba%s's Photo
Its about time. I loved the Sunshine Underground section, the duelers were themed very well, the duel its self was alright, the timeing could have been much better tho.. and that stacked sim pod was very clever. the Aztec area was really nice and had an awsome water ride, the drop ride i think it was? kinda complex but a good ride none the less. the entrance was nice, i was not crazy about a caged marry go round, just weird. the section with the woodie was just so empty, hardly anything their, but the coaster was very nice and the rock/dirt landscape was very nice, but still just to empty IMO. the castle was amazeing, the best building i think i have ever seen in RCT, major props on that. also i must say that logo is the worst pice of shit logo i have ever seen, the rides on it are not even in the fuckin park! who ever did it should be kicked out of the NEGT, and betten to death. unless corky did it. in that case i love it! :twitch:

Thanks alot for all the comments so far. I didn't expect such a positive feedback.
First off, thanks to x-sector once more for doing this park with me. That I am better than you I don't believe, but that's another story ;) (About the African area. It's my favourite of the park. Don't feel let down because it doesn't get the amount of praise it deserves)
Thorpedo, I'm glad you see Terranus as it is supposed to be. Not many people have the sense for this kind of style but they aren't to blame at all. Everyone has his tastes. We probably have a similar one ;)
• Nic%s's Photo
Wow.

Outstanding in every aspect. I wish I could build and design that well. Excellence incarnate.
• spiderman%s's Photo
This is definitely the best rct1 park I have seen in quite a while. I gave this park a long, hard, look, and so far I truly love it, a top 3 in my book, because everything seems so perfectly placed and flows yet contrasts perfectly. The rides were good and theming top notch as well.

African Village:
I love everything here, from the use of the maze pieces to the actual redrock maze itself. Not to mention awesome water interaction, and the cool idea of barrels under the paths. And that entrance piece with the water and stuff was brilliant.

Tizoc's Realm:
This was probably the most generic of any section, but it still rocked. It definitely had a more classical RCT feel to it with the grey rock and brick used together like the original RCT spotlights at Danimation, which was great. The use of landscaping on the coaster was amazing as well.

The Sunshine Underground:
Obviously x-sector work with a Universal's Outrage feel, but a bit more let go and extreme. The architecture is well thought out and the coaster rocked too. Everything just rocked, period.

Terranus:
Awesome woodie, and I love how Posix got the classical feel, making for kinda of a neoclassical section. The lack of architecture really isn't a problem here, as the landscaping and good placement of the buildings that are there make up for it.

And that center castle island rocked too, overall it was an awesome park, great job guys.
• JBruckner%s's Photo
From the screens the park looks like A quality, I don't have LL so I can't look.
You guys got one of the best spotlight logos yet.

Tizoc's Realm:
This was probably the most generic of any section, but it still rocked.

That sums up the park, really!

Holy shit.

African Entrance
So much wood never looked so good. The buildings use so many tricks that each one is interesting - stacked egyptian scenery, wooden coaster additions and half-symmetry all used to amazing effect. Each attraction has its own spin, too. The cage on the carousel, the half-buried maze, the station/waterfall themed 3D cinema. Even the height changes are executed deftly - the land here is exciting. Most of all, however, it's the colours and textures that shine. The whole area has a richness and warmth that exudes a post-monsoon savannah feel. Check out the docks, volcano and shores, too. And the sneaky use of that revolting Monterey Cypress - I only just noticed it, he's used it so craftily! X is back.

Terranus
What a contrast! Not in skill or quality, mind, but in content and execution. The architecture is carefully crafted to be welcoming, but at the same time quite challenging - it is sparse, but practical. The 'Coaster Walkabout' solves the problem of filling the coaster area in the best way possible - unobtrusive, but curious. The coaster itself flows and has the speed to carry the sparse theming. Little touches like the arched water flow by the station, the path-side graveyard and the 'I Survived Spire's Reach' shop all make this seem very imaginable - and fun, too.

The Sunshine Underground
Well, I said X is back. And boy is he back. First of all i'd just like to say that being able to do all that arch-hacking, scenery stacking and tricky logistics is a talent that X seems to dismiss as normal - how he does it so fast is beyond me. This area is just the start, though - to those that are yet to see his LOS area...well, you ain't seen nothing yet. Levels, colours, buildings, attractions, innovations, concepts. Ack, it's difficult to explain. Safe to say it took me a hell of a long time to look through this area, and i've only scratched the surface. I can only recommend an RCTGL trip in and around this area - once you get sucked in it's difficult to leave. Hey Boy Hey Girl=funky.

Tizoc's Realm
I want to know what Posix was on when he built this area. First off, the architecture is perverse - it's like he's gone out of his way to stick together horrid shapes to form some kind of building-like mass. Well, it works. Well. Another of the ridiculously-enclosed river rides (brilliant drop theming) is overshadowed by that vertical monstrosity in the corner. The thought process involved in making that thing must have been drug-fuelled (more so than the Underground, i'm sure). Whatever it was, I want some of it. Nothing like it will ever be seen, really, because it's one of the craziest things ever. Posix - you continue to surprise, which is exactly what JS did with IOAH. I can but look forward to your next project.

Castle Audrix
Yeah so X is my RCT deity. Make more parks. Many more. Please.

So, I liked the park a lot. Maybe they'll do another one. Hopefully!
• deanosrs%s's Photo
Well, I'm not going to write a review because my LL knowledge is shocking, but I loved it. There's so many little things that make this park great... the areas blend into one another well, but yet maintain individuality, all the rides were perfect, but I think a special mention has to go out to the stacked toilets. It's not often that I've been awed and humoured by a park simultaneously :D
• MightyMouse%s's Photo
To start off, I'm going to thank Posix and X-Sector for releacing a Rct/LL park. These days, it's not everyday you see an awsome Rct/LL spotlight. With that said....

African Entrance(I helped name stuff in this section :D)
Beautiful. Just Beautiful. The Fountain alone was incredible. To add to that, the archatecture was executed extremely well, and it seemed to flow so well with the theme. The giant, red rock(along with the maze, of course) seemed to add some more flavor to the section. The landscaping in this section really was intense. Also, the ruins, just lieing on the dirt path, were just incredible. I find it extremely dificult to make each building unique, and still have each and everyone look so good together. Awsome job.

Tizoc's Realm
Posix, Posix, Posix. In my opinion, you've created the best section in the entire park. First off, the landscaping gets a perfect score, in my books.
Secondly, the ride interacted so well with the landscaping and the theming.

This was probably the most generic of any section, but it still rocked.

. Good Job Posix.

The Sunshine Underground
Oh My. The archatecture in this section is probably the best I've ever seen. It was the colors, the style of buildings, the colors, the duelers, the colors, the landscaping and....did I mention I liked the colors? Nice set of duelers X. Twas' another great section.

Meh, The castle and Posix's other section were truely great and I'm looking foward to both x-sector & posix's new projects.
• sloB%s's Photo
Gosh, Posix is on a roll. X-Sector is doing pretty well too ;)

First off, I'll say that I loved the park. It was a nice simple 4-cornered park but everything in it was executed perfectly. While I prefer Posix's style, X-Sector really amazed me too, constructing some beautifully, namely that perrrrty Afric entrance.

I'm not going to go in depth becuase I don't really know LL but I just thought I'd talk about Posix for a while, just becuase he's so goddamn good. Tizoc's realm looks pretty simple from a far, but its just that simplicity that makes it so beautiful. The flowers, my god the flowers.

Also, that woodie was spectacular. But for more on that, just read Ed's post, he nailed it. Theres not much more to say, but this park is really an example of how Posix is really starting to rise above us and become a legend, at least as far as I'm concerned.

Oh, and by they way, nice name ;)
• Ride6%s's Photo
I must say that X-sector has been one of the best parkmakers in my opinion ever since I first layed eyes on Disney's Extreme Orlando, and Posix was one of those people who I've never quite understood, and honestly I still don't. X is slightly insane at times and mixes textures and themes in RCT/LL perfectly, Posix is alway looking for purity and has either bored me or hurt my eyes repeatedly.

DEO, Outrage, Evolution, and his Hi Rollers work. Something about X's work always seemed to be missing, untill recently. Here in Audrix Towers everything was perfect, just like in Hi Rollers.

Atlas Inferium hurt my eyes and Raindrop Riviera did almost everying incorrectly for me. I just can't feel it. I look again and again... The area around Mercury is the only part that works for me.

On this park:
Enterance: Red Rock Village- X-Sector hits a home run again! The aMAZEing roofing is really a slice of genius. The wooden coaster track mixes in perfectly... Man. The fountain is easily the best I've ever seen... Incredable. The landscaping and tree selection hit the spot and took me right off to Africa all by it's self. The Architecture too, perfected. My only gripe is the cages carousel. It just didn't fit in the refined enviroment.

Terranus: Posix's work. I knew it the second I zoomed in on it. Once agian Posix just can't seem to hit the spot for me. It was too plain. Although Rigor Mortis has to be one of the most incredable wooden coasters of all time. The pacing was perfect, the helixes had charecter. Posix really has discovered the secret to making great coasters. This is my least favorite area though. Even with my favorite coaster in the park...

Sunshine Underground: This was another give-away area. Posix would never try anything quite this nutty. I love every square centemeter of it (my favorite area). The colors are absolutely perfect. The details here and there with the red rock, only Mala and Fatha' have impressed me this way... X really pushed everything I thought of him out the window and it fell up! The Dream On rapids were really nicely exicuted and made for backup for the real firepower in the area. Under the Influence is insane. The trees and the fact that it's a bit swamped by all the building hurt it but there are still spots where you just HAVE to think "My god, that is insane, I LOVE IT!"

Tizoc's Realm: Perfected Aztec theming on a grader scale than anything SACF or Joe Holland ever could've imagined. This area really is something else. The water ride, At Lava's Waters, blended in perfectly and ran around a watery course that is sure to make it a living legend. The Stone Of Tizoc was the real winner here though. I sware some of X's insanity must of rubbed off... 4 vertical drops??? That's nuts! The theming in this area was great. I only have one small niggle with it... The lack of texture variation. Why couldn't there've been just a hint of brown castle wall or marble???? WHY!!!!!!!?????????????

The Castle Audrix made a centerpiece of the grandest nature. Spots seemed a little spindaly and thin but over all the effect was incredable. I can't believe my eyes.
