Notes: - Paradise Bay is NOT peep friendly so the park is closed but the rides are open. - Let me also say that my coaster design skills are somewhat limited. For this reason, I did use 4 prebilt Six Flags Coasters. Although my coaster design skills are improving and future parks will include all original deisgns, the 4 coasters I used in Paradise Bay were selected for design elements I was looking for.
I hope you enjoy your stay at Paradise Bay. (no pun intended)
I have been waiting for this park and in some ways it is all I expected and in some ways a little disappointing. The only really disappointing thing was the coasters, but you already addressed that so I won't go on about it. As for the park design and architecture, there were many flashes of brilliance. The hotel was amazing and some of the modern style architecture really grabbed my eye with nice detail. If you must have a parking lot, you're parking garage is definitely a more interesting way to go, tho you should have left out the cars in my opinion. Overall it is a very nice park and a great first rct2 effort for you. Nice job!
Yea it is *******. All rct2 parks are peep friendly.
I guess I need to explain, Paradise Bay has several "peep traps". I tried to work around this early on but decided I did not like the way it was turning out.
TT - Thanks for the feedback. I look forward to working on my coaster skills in the next project.
Hmmm..
Pretty interesting.
Parts of it were very nice, some of it was very weak in my opinion.
I think you have the creativity down, but you need to refine your theming & coaster skills.
Still, pretty fun to look at, nice job.
Wow, you're immature. Just because you don't like the park, doesn't mean you have to be all immature.
RCTNW, a review is coming soon, and congrats on making it into RCTM!
I don't think it's about the park, I think it's about him getting booted from RCTM.
....and RCTNW got his spot in the Masters.
My huge review is about half done...
Let's just say that this park's main issue is indeed the coasters, but that I've always felt improving one's coaster building skills is a lot easier than learning how to theme well...my thoughts are that RCTNW is a natural for the design of the park and extras (hotel, golf, garages, etc...), and just needs a bit more work on the construction and placement of some coasters...all of have areas that have room for improvement anyways, despite how good we (or others) think we are...
As for the Madman thing, it wasn't a trade. It's bad timing on Madman's part, in that he got himself booted a few days before I planned on announcing RCTNW's membership. It was always planned to be around the day he'd release his park, which he clearly stated was yesterday as of 2 weeks ago...
Thanks Toon for stepping in before I had the chance...
Madman, if anyone's the ass it's you. Get over the fact that you've been kicked out, and will (for the most part, and likely until something big happens like Kai leaves or has a revelation), you aren't coming back. So yeah, move on with your RCT life.
As for the park, the architecture, overall, was really quite well done. My favorite building (other than the hotel of course) was the station for the giga coaster and how it had glass around the brake run, which had a really cool look. Very original too (from what I know). Most of the attractions were awesome, with the exception of a couple, namely the invertigo's (for reasons already stated) and the Flyer, which didn't really seem like it was layed out that well (the firt turn after the drop looks like it'd hurt big time). Also, I think I saw three steel coasters all packed pretty closely together (I think the floorless one and the two around it), and that wasn't pretty... It needed spacing.
But besides that, everything was great, congrats on becoming an RCT Master, as well as completing a 256er, that'd take me forever, lol.
Um, as for the park, i was dissapointed. I expected so much from the scrrens. The boringness of theming let down the leet hotel...good big archy, but just not my style. Meh@the coasters.
yeah, that's like double the pain =P well, atleast it was a fair exchange ^_~
It wasn't about the rctm thing. I was just saying that. I havn't looked at the park but the hotel looked very nice. Although I didn't like the coasters but the hotel is sweeeet! I never said I didn't like the park.
Blitz - It wasn't a fair exchange. Think or look. I am sitting here crying right now cuz yall hate me. I know yall do.
This is ridiculous. This topic is not about anybody's status in any clubs, it is about a park release so talk about the park. I deleted a couple of posts and will delete anything from here on in pertaining to RCTMadman's status with RCTM.
I'll just cut-n-paste the same review I did over at RCT2.com.
Wonderful job RCTNorthWest!!
I really liked the layout of the resort. Everything seemed to fit perfectly. The architecture was fantastic! Every building was unique and beautiful! The hotel and surrounding grounds were very well done! Landscaping was top notch. Attention to detail was superb. The rides were first rate. Excellent park man! Great job!
The only things I didn't care for were the Inverted Coasters and the Log Flume ride. All of the Inverted Coasters were Vomit Rockets. The Nausea ratings were all above 7 (and one was above 8 I believe). Anything over 7 blows chunks! Pardon the pun. To make these rides effective you would have to place a high occupancy First Aid station next to each ride. Each ride would also require it's own water hose, manned by a full time staffer, so the trains could be cleaned out after each run. . I realize the park is not meant to be opened to the peeps, so stats are essentially meaningless. It's just a pet peeve of mine. The Log Flume was nice until I saw it cruising on top of the station's roof! Ugh!
Very minor points. Overall the park was outstanding! A solid 9.6 rating!
I really like this park for some reason. I'm not keen on some of the rides, but everything else is really nice. I love the architecture, it really has a Disney/Epcot sort of feel to it. I like that. Very nicely done.
Just work on rides a little, maybe don't have so many coasters... I know, I know. Blasphemy... Seriously, very nicely done park. You've got great potential.
