Alderwood Mall concept was inspired by the Mall of America which is a full size mall with a mini park located with the inside of the mall footprint. Alderwood Mall is not intended to be a recreation but rather an experiment of a concept that fits my style. I know this style is not for everyone but I enjoyed creating the park and I hope you enjoy the visit.
Sorry, thats an old SS. There are benches on mall paths. There are also shops on each level and you can see some of the lower walls of the shops from the different views. If you mean actual shop stalls from the game, no.
One other thing, the park can be opened to the peeps but I'm sure they will get lost.
wow! very creative idea. I havent seen this one before! Its very good, i like the theming and even the choices of music are cool. The best ideas are the ones that havent been tried before.
I wish there was more original ideas like this. Great job.
Thats the hard part for all of us. Anyone can build a good park, but finding that unique something is what takes it up a notch. Thanks
its deffinatly great but i think there is too much grass and plants for an indoor park.
Even though the MoA is an indoor park, I was not able to design a good looking roof system to fully enclose the mall. As a result, Alderwood Mall is an outdoor mall with various overhangs to provide shade and some detail to the mall. Thanks though for the comment.

I'm sure someone has done it before but I had not seen one and it fit my style. Thanks
I'm surprised by the response so far. It's far more positive than I thought considering the actual park size.
Just when I thought you might have quit parkmaking, you release something like this. Wonderful work NW. I especially love the symmetry aspect of the second screen.

That is a marvellous idea, that you seem to have pulled off quite nicely...
just one thing though - the "mall" section looks great, but if you want it to be xtra realistic, you may want to put seats along those paths....
Are you gonna incorporate shops into it??
