    I just wish he'd do something...different.

    I agree.

It's not bad. It's more traditional which is good in my opinion, but I think sometimes you're afraid to use colors. The brown/tan gets old.... quick.

Tuscany...... Should have had a lot more reds in the area as well as white. This just didn't strike me as a Tuscany area. Also, Tuscany is western Italy, not even close to the Aegean Sea. I also would have had more greenery and gardens. I've been through Tuscany myself and there was no resemblance.

Tunisia...... Tunisia doesn't look anything like this. I was there last month actually. Tunisia isn't even near the Aegean Sea. It's on the Med in North Africa. The coastal areas of Tunisia look very Greek and uses a lot of blue and white in its architecture.

And by the way Nate, it's Matador, not Manador! :D Just thought you'd like to know!

Congrats though and a job well done.

I actually thought this was very different. I mean, what other park has the "over-built" architecture going on? The whole park was based on that. I do agree the park could have used more colour though, but I disagree that it looks even remotly similar to DDI and DFK.

Mike, a few things. First, the only themed section of the park that actually touches on the real Aegean sea is Athina. Athina was inspired by Mykonos. Cartagena was designed to be spanish, but it was inspired by Whislter and named for a city in South America. Marrakech is Morrocan, which does not touch the Aegean either. The Aegean is a really small sea, and all the countries that touch it are relativly the same in terms of looks. I really like the name and the way the letters are arranged, so I thought it was a perfect name. Tuscany, it wasn't themed after the real Tuscany, but the name fit and it was Italian. I guess it should have had a more Rome or Venice style name. Tunisa, I haven't been there, but I've have friends who have and of the pictures I've seen it looks more Arabian and it does greek.

As for the matador. Just laziness. I can't spell anything and didn't bother to look it up :)

Wow! Thank you very much mantis. That was a great read, incredibly well written.  I loved this part: "He spied a twisted wooden structure nestled in the back corner of Tunisa - was it a coaster, or a strange, mushroom-house style building? WME's knowledge of Canadian architecture wasn't that great, so he opted for the 'coaster' option and made his way towards the entrance" lol! Very witty. Not sure if you know or not, but the guy in real life who designs those buildigns, Frank Gehry, is Canadian-born. Thank you very much mantis!

Now that i'm back and have the capability to reply to things like this without waiting 20 minutes for it to load...you're welcome! :) I'm into architecture (although not as a 'doing' interest - i suck at drawing). I'm more of a...visitor/admirer lol. I remembered you posting the link to the mushroom house website and liking the pictures. Gehry's buildings are nice to look at.

And I enjoyed writing that a lot, so it's great to hear you enjoyed reading it too. I do agree with some of the comments (especially about the way that central island seemed kind of unfinished?) but overall this is one of my favourite parks. I still can't believe how much better you get on with each park, on top of the amazingness you already have. It's not fair :D
