Hang time on a stand-up coaster? It's called... bad pacing. I made several good comments about your entry and all you seem to be able to do is focus on the bad ones. Why is that? You are winning anyway so what's is the big deal that I liked the TOP GUN's better? If you were talking to me about scores MAVERICK, here they are. You guys had a tough coaster type to build and like I mentioned in my review of them, they were very close. While your coaster had much better pacing, CASIMAR's had a better look to it. Really liked your transfer track set up. Your coaster did beat his. You lost it in the scenery and atmosphere areas. Still, they were very close in the end.
^ yea I know, just trying to have a little fun with contest.
As for CASIMIR's atmosphere, I found it to very nice for example that 8 sided building that the rides line went through. To me it added a lot of class to area, the station was also a great visual. I stayed in his park for quite some time. Really enjoyed the feel of the place. However your (WANTED) entry was just about perfect all the way around. The coaster itself, the scenery and the atmosphere of the place pulled in a total score of 93/100.
Austin55, I'm not going to bother with the unfinishedness, but you couldn't even give us a save with the ride fixed? It's not a big thing, but it struck me as a bad first impression. As for the ride itself, it earns its name; not exactly the best job of pacing.
Comet, this kind of thing is what competitions are for. Inventive idea; almost more of a mine train than a standard stand-up. Good pacing, great useage of terrain and scenery.

Top Gun vs. Nokia:
Top Gun, I get what you're going for here with the Nazi Zombies thing. But it could've been pulled off much better, scenery wise. The ride itself is okay, but doesn't really pace well and doesn't look very good either.
Nokia, I think you did a great job with the architecture and foliage here, and there were some good ideas in your ride. The pacing, however, was terrible; the second element crested at 6-7mph. And I don't think those bunny hops at the end are a good idea on a stand-up.

Maverick vs Casimir
Maverick, your theming, such as it is, looks like it was thrown; blocky architecture with the default colors and random foliage. However, your layout was very solid; it reminded me of the weird Arrow loopers found in Asia. Pacing was a bit slow from the MCBR to the last inversion, and I'm not a fan of the triple helix, but otherwise a very good ride.
Casimir, I had high hopes when I first opened this; the theme is fairly unique and well done. However, once again, terrible pacing. First element is taken way too fast, and then the loop is just a little slow running. Also, you're missing a fair number of supports.

Hey, once again, I can't vote. But I did really like your entry, Ride6, very nicely done. (That tunnel is fugly, though, what gives?)

Splitvision vs. Tolsimir
Splitvision, you have exquisite taste in anime. Also, really nice duelers. They track well with each other and don't have very much in the way of pacing issues, but the ending is very abrupt and seems like it'd be a rough ride.
Tolsimir, very interesting layout. Not buying the trim brake at the bottom of the first drop; it's unneccessary and looks like you're hiding a pacing problem. The scale of the ride is awesome though.
Vote: Tough choice, but I think I'm gonna have to go with Splitvision

Liampie vs In:Cities
Liampie... was that a joke entry? Seriously, Zippo's could pull off a sewage-themed ride because it used over-the-top wacky theming. Your layout is fairly boring; no really big pacing issues, but nothing really good either. The entire entry looks like it was thrown together in a few hours before the deadline.
In:Cities, I really, really wanted to like this when I opened it. Fucking massive scale, and interesting scenery. Your ride, to put it bluntly, was terrible. You're cresting hills at 50mph, taking corkscrews and sharp unbanked turns at 60mph... and to top it off, you keep sticking in lifthills when you've still got 40-50mph speeds to work with.
Vote: In:Cities, on the basis of showing actual effort.
Steve vs Dark_Horse
Steve, I really wish you hadn't had to call this one in. That layout was fantastic.
Dark_Horse, you had some interesting ideas with those corkscrew...things. And your pacing was fairly nice. But the ride as a whole did not LOOK good, and was basically a glorified BTR clone.

wheres_walto vs FK+Coastermind
wheres_walto, take out that trim brake halfway though the ride; it completely wrecks the pacing for the second half. Other than that, the layout was okay and the the theming is well done.
FK+Coastermind, wow, nice layout, submarine, architecture. Probably one of my favorite entries this round.
Vote: FK+Coastermind
Overall, I really think the focus needs to shift towards ride design, here. Too many layouts in this round looked thrown together.

The foliage and shops across from the ride were done last minute. I spend a good deal of time on the station and queue which didn't leave me much time for anything else. The layout was a mix of Vortex @ KI (MCBR-final inversion), Loch Ness Monster (helix), and a variant of the GASM mega loopers (large drop after the loop, instead of before). Thank you for the comments.
i'd just like to say. name your freakin entries guys. if you don't even put some thought into a name, how am i supposed to take your entry seriously?
I didn't know I was supposed to name the saved game file anything specific, so I left it as is... I did name the ride in the file though.

disneylandian192 vs nin: Voted disneylandian192. This was a good matchup. It allowed me to see two completely different styles in a way that they had to be directly compared. With that, the style I saw from disneylandian192's entry was much more pleasing than the cramped space on nin's map.

][ntamin22 vs RCTCA: Voted RCTCA. Although it was nearly a clone of Goliath & Titan, it still maintained the better layout, and had a nice, albeit small, atmosphere around it.
Ride6 vs Loopy: Voted Loopy. This was the toughest call for me of them all. However, with meandering layouts, the Intamin style design "felt" better to me. Ride6 had a great design and nearly shifted me over, but achieving the Mega style with the limitations in LL was a bit more impressive to me. Both of you should be proud.
SW-Vertical
Splitvision vs Tolsimir: Voted Tolsimir. This was another tough one as both had noticable amount of thought and effort put into them. I particularly liked the timing achieved with the duelers. However, the overall design and surroundings went to Tolsimir for this one, but just barely.

Milo vs Wanted: Voted Wanted. While it was unique, I didn't quite feel Milo's entry had the right "feel" for what I look for in a park or design. Austin55 vs Comet: Voted Comet. This is a rare case of an inferior coaster design being my choice in a comparison. While the Chang clone worked in all the right ways, the unique use of a standup in the atmosphere of Comet's entry had me much more interested.
Top Gun vs Nokia: Voted Top Gun. This to me felt like two entries that had a lot of effort, with little result. The layout and general design of Nokia's ride looked better, but Top Gun's just seemed to fit the surroundings better (even with the blocking issue). I can honestly say I was expecting more from both of these.
