I liked the park...definetly a good fantasy park and will be one of the better works of fantasy for the year, but im with JDP in that im not completely sold on the gold. The area with the duelers was very good, definetly worthy of the gold status. I just have to wonder why he doesnt name his parks/coasters. The same thing popped out to me with The Island, as it was called unnamed park, and all the coasters were the pre-set names. However, the more i look at the detail, it is at least worthy of a weak gold so...

    Overall, if i were a panelist...14

'Sorry, but with two year old layouts and scenery being out of place (let alone unsupported) it just took me out of it. Completely.'

This just says to me how realistically biased some people are at this site. It's fantasy, things do not need to make sense. For all you know, some godly power could be keeping the buildings up.

Use your imagination a little, y'know?

^confirming that I am the godly power holding those buildings up

but anyway, I thought this was cool. Lots of fun to look around

Crazy, made no sense, and creative. My kind of "gold" worthy park. Definetly not spotlight, but FUN TO LOOK AT. I think some people forget that sometimes.

This park got a gold? It made as much sense as a Stephen King film.

Sorry, but with two year old layouts and scenery being out of place (let alone unsupported) it just took me out of it. Completely.

The only thing that amazes me about this park is that everyone is amazed by it. And I love when Phatage leaves me with nothing else to say
    -JDP

And Phatage was professional about it when he did, so I'm glad he did say it and not you.

Either way, your opinion is indicative of the prevailing mindset of this website. It may be that this park is sub par, but it seems illogical that panel of realistic park makers on a site made up of predominantly realistic parkmakers could possibly give this a fair shot. Phatage said it best himself--He'd be willing to give it a higher score if the site felt it were of standard, but he doesn't like the style himself. So why would he give it a higher score if he doesn't like it? And to call this a "gimmick park"? That's one way to get a big 'fuck you' from me.

Hey, I'm not saying this deserves a gold or not, and I haven't had the chance to open it up and look around yet. I'm just trying to explain why the rest of us don't like how this vote came down. Fantasy parkmaking is under represented here and on the panel, and I don't think we'll see many more fantasy submissions, sub par or not, if we write them off simply for not being your particular brand of realistic parkmaking.

i suck at realism, so fantasy/semi-realism is the way to go for me.

probably why i'll never be a parkmaker, but who cares

fairly interesting in areas. Much better than his last release though and the coaster were still piss poor but no where near as bad as before.

Too add the realism argument. I think what NE currently considers realistic park making is popular because it has both form and function. Things are designed to look nice but still have context and concept to back them up. Parks like this one fall short with people because theres still many WTF moments like the plants on track? why do that?

Im still waiting for a realistically feasible park to push the boundaries of imagination but still be completely believable

you will be parkmaker if you put the effort in. i'm not saying you WILL become parkmaker, in ANY EVENTUALITY. i'm saying it's well within your reach. i guess about the middle of your forearm or something.

Id say its at about his elbow, although he can only reach it with the same arm and hand

nicely put RRP, your elbow is only just out of reach :p

I think with a park like this, it tends to amaze people because of the fact that parks like these are now rare.

Its a great park with great skill and I enjoyed fewing it very much. I'd say it's placement as a gold was accurate, as Liampie stated some parts were slightly spotlight worthy, but others not.

Everyone goes on about the Korean parkmaker's style and how different it is. But I dont think it's as different as people think. All it is is really heavily themed coasters and areas, with the coasters not being realistic.

This isnt a bad thing of course because this park is pretty impressive, but the 'amazement' wouldnt be there say if this was released back in the day when fantasy was still a major part of the site.

It's almost making me want to build something like this in RCT2 and see how easy it is to do and how well it goes down with the community.
