too late tbh it wasnt a proper micro. 20x20 = 400. I used 400 squares to my advantage and managed to fit in a realistic B&M Mega Coaster it looked nothing like a micro, but in this contest could still be classed as one
I've actually got a very similar situation on my hands Louis. Have a small design that doesn't seem to be comfortable on a mini map but takes up too much space for a micro. The lowest I can get it is about 425 tiles.
edit:
actually, what is the definition of "used" tiles, as far as this contest is concerned?
double edit:
also, can I submit my rev3 and RCTA micros on an "exhibition" basis? I'm not sure how many people ever saw them and it'd be interesting to have them "judged" and put up on a server for people to check out.
Damn, this is looking like a stacked round! I should skip em more often
To answer a few of ]['s questions... a used tile has an object on it that adds to a theme. You can have a blank tile at the edge of your may with walls on it, say covering the side of your map and since that's not like your continuing outward it won't count. I will not be to picky if someone is a tile or two over. Just you can't overboard, these are micros so you need to fit your park to a micro bench.
Also you can send in anything that has not been released before. If it was released before it will not count. I want new micros for this contest.
Kumba, so if I have a wall that sits on the edge of a 20*20, are my allowed to use the layering technique and add windows to the outside? Like if that's all I am using that tile for, will that not count as a tile?

Walls covering the outside do not count as a used tile. It says so in the rules.
Thanks for the clearing up, Kumba. I was being a lazy bastard and didn't feel like re-reading all the rules. I think I may hold off on this round, as tere is no chance in hell mine will win.
Id hate to see people sit out just because the competition level might be higher than past months, but that's up to you guys. This is looking like it will be the month with the strongest entries. Also id doubt we have a unanimous winner for May, even if that has been the case every other month.
Keep the entries coming, maybe we can top the Feb. output of 6
too late

What did you mean by "on an exhibition basis"?
but in my eyes, it's not a micro, more of a 400 tile challenge, so yeah, i wont be entering afterall.
Louis your confusing me! But I do hope you enter
EDIT: fixed a typo
