Wow, I've never given you enough credit but this was amazing
The only problems I had with it were that the safari was way too clean with the pavement and too much grass, and the hotel was kind of messy, you might've been going for that but I don't think it worked too well
as said before, that mine ride was fucking ridiculous. didn't expect half the shit it pulled off. the dropoff before the fake track, the mine it launches out of, amazing details. and the strip of buildings along the river rapids was as beautiful as it can get. so much to look at in this little park.
really makes me want to take up rct2... but then i take a look at all the scenery pieces and get overwhelmed. great shit 5dave.
Hi 5Dave, I just watched it ingame for more then an half hour and here is my reply:
A. Really cool ride you have there, I like the setting in the park and the details you have there (small operater house, bushes etc) it all comes together there for me.
B. This is a really cool detailed thing you have there, I like it a lot!
C. Really cool river rapids in the park, but this one of my highlights of the ride, seeing the boats going down there from the waterfall, oh, I already can imagine being there. One problem I had with the ride, was the liftspeed, I know those boats go up slow, but this was too slow, it would have been better with 2/3 km/h, but it said 0/1 all the time.
D. I really like the animal area, however, I think there was too much grass, some sand would have been cool (you are in Africa located ...). Another cool thing in this park is located on this screen to, the tram line, it was small, but so greatly executed .
E. From the animal area again, I so much liked the animal shelters and how you have done them ... Great work there!
F. I really like building fountains a lot in my own work, and this was definately one of the best I have seen from other people, I really like it!
G. I thought this building was so greatly located there, on one side you have the Mainstreet area thingy, and on the other you have the rapids. Great.
H. I would love ride the rapids ride, I think it is one of the best ever made.
I. Well, this screen is one of the weakest (if you can call it weak), I would love to see more sand there, and one big tree like the one you are having near the flamingos, and I don't get your concrete in the jeep route, it looked un-natural to be honest, those cars already have big tires to go threw mud and water, so I think the concrete wasn't needed.
J. I laughed a lot when I saw this ... Really great coaster you have there, but that was the highlight of it, seeing a tunnel with TNT in front of it. However, what was up with the black track you have left there? (just before the cars go into the station? I think you forgot to lower that, ah well, nothing to worry about.
K. I really liked the supports on the Giant Inverted Boomerang, and the airplane light on top was a cool detail you had there.
One thing my compilation screen doesn't show is the hotel on top of the mountain, I didn't liked this so much, it certainly looked african and when I could walk there in reallife it would have looked great, but from an rct2 perspective I thought it looked less good as it was intended to be.
None the less, a really great park you have made 5Dave, you can be proud of yourself!
Great work Dave. I loved the rapids, that was just fantastic with the station having a conveyor belt and the Q was just awesome. Also really liked the Tram and the buildings to the left of it, great stuff. Cliffhanger was sweet, loved the support structure on it. Diamond chase was pretty cool, but I felt the atmosphere was a little drab compared to the more lively stuff you normally do, but I guess it fits the theme. Rhino Road was cool, I really liked the Monkey house. Only letdown was imo the entrance, looked like the loading gate for a horserace
I hereby pass you the Road Rally Championship crown. *Crown passed* Was fun wearing it for the last two years and I am glad to see a great parkmaker like you continue the legacy Emergo started of high quality work at RCT Space. I hope I can enter this year, I missed it last year due to school, H2H5 and other parks.
Hmm, guess I'm in the minority here, but I didn't really feel this is as great as you guys think.. Maybe it's because you're one of my favorite parkmakers currently and I expect everything you release to be at the quality level of Canthose Valley, but it didn't really feel like the great 5dave work I know from the past..
Like cena pointed out, the pavement in the jeep ride through the exhibit was awkward and not aesthetically pleasing.. As it was quite a big part of this park it ruined the flow you had with the nice architecture.. The ride design also was kinda weak and weird.. The coaster going backwards didn't really work for me and that boomerang felt like a cheap way of trying to get another coaster in.. The rapids was kinda short, but nice for what it was.. I also thought the foliage was kind of weak, but maybe that's because I've always disliked those big non-rct trees (by "MV")..
The terraforming was the best part of this park though.. I really enjoyed the different height variations, and thought it was an improvement from your previous work..
As I said earlier the architecture was very strong too.. Definitely your forte.. Texture variation, color-schemes and forms are spot on and really create an nice African atmosphere..
All in all, an enjoyable park, without any doubt, but not of the usual 5dave quality I'm addicted to
@RCTNW: Thanks, the mine ride was my favorite in the park also.
@Louis: Haha, yeah that's my next goal... and thanks!
@Comet: Glad you liked it! I agree with your both points. Looking back at those two parts I'd have done things different. Those two were also the things I did last while finishing the park early in the morning
@RMM: Thanks!
@Cena: Thanks for your 'little-things' on the park Yeah, I didn't merge the lifthill onto the rapid ride, didn't expect it to be that slow at all. That's what I would have done different too. The animal exhibit was a bit lackluster in the end. It was pretty small and I didn't really tapped the full potential of it. I thought the concrete looks clean and more like a 'controlled' ride in a theme park, but it's looking really bulky and sterile. That's also something I would do different now. I'm suprised you liked the animal shelters, as I thought those look very rushed. haha. The thing on top of the boomerang is also a cell phone tower.
Oh and I also agree about the lodge. It was also done in the very end and therefore is very rushed.
@hulkpower: Thanks!
@Kumba: I'm honored to take your crown, haha!
@Six Frags: Thanks for your honest words. Maybe the park didn't appeal you that much because it's an amusement park rather than a full theme park. I agree that the boomerang might appear like a filler ride, but it was one of the first rides in the park and also one which took the most effort to build (Especially supports and merging). And as I haven't seen those rides done very often I took the chance and it fits the setting near the cliffs perfectly I think. About the trees: I was sceptical too but the vanilla RCT trees don't offer many trees for this climate so I had to use other alternatives and you can do really cool stuff with them actually (I liked the rapid part where it waves around that tree for example)... Thanks for the review!
@Nin: You're welcome! There are a few more from Amazing Earl, be sure to check out his Jungle Cruise scenery pack!
^I think that's what made this park so amazing. That thing just towers all the other rides and looks so epic hovering over the midway. I wasn't a large fan of the Premier but this entire park was pretty amazing.
I took a look at this today and I'm impressed as always. Your ride design is one of the best in the game. Thats what involves me so much when I view your work.
+ The safari ride was very well executed, such a nice ride to watch.
+ The rapids was good and I loved the attention to detail and small waterfalls breaking off from random parts of the landscaping.
+ The invert thing. Such an easy ride concept but hacked well and themed to a very professional manner.
+ The dynamite mine was fantastic, the concept was utterly brilliant and I loved the dark section of the ride when it entered the tunnel backwards then got shot out. This was my favourite detail of anything in this park.
+ Your girlfriend for putting up with you.
- I felt the entrance was slightly reminiscent of Canthose. CV was immense but I wanted to see some variation for the opening area. That's probably just me though.
- The ride naming wasn't as good as your ride concepts. You excel in branding with your logo's for peoples work so brand your own designs to those standards.
Overall I liked the park, I think your work has gotten to a certain level where people expect great things from you, keep producing these awesome parks please. For future work I'd like to see some variation in architectural style and some more wow factors.

I think most of the names were pretty good, being a Dutchmen finally pays off, Hoogland Park is an excellent name for this. As so does many rides.
