Excellent work, SA. Your work is simply amazing. I loved every bit of it. I even liked the flyer. You have to look beyond the surface look, it's a great "peaceful" coaster. Anyway, I cannot wait until your next! :D

What would Babylon be without the Ishtar Gate? ???

Stunning. Somehow you managed to create the perfect balance between realism and fantasy. I could actually picture myself walking through a park, someday in the near (and non-existant ;) ) future. I loved the Buddhist section. Perfect market place, perfect rendition of the cliff monasteries, and, contrasting Marshy's opinion, one of the few flyer's I've truely enjoyed.

And of course Eversio and the ruined aquaducts made the park so much more enjoyable.

Not only did you create new themes and atmospheres, you honed them to near perfection. Most parkmakers either come up with new atmospheres or perfect themes done before, but you managed to do both. :)

In my opinion the enterence area was a bit of a letdown. The architecture was alot less, i don't know, perfect than what i expected. The rapids ride and the Drachen Fire clone though, were absolutly perfect.

The Mexican area, however, i enjoyed much, much more than i expected to. Great woodie, one of the best in RCT2 definiently. The best i wouldn't be so sure of...

The Budist area: I really didn't enjoy this area in the slightest at first. But slowly it grew all over me and the flyer surtainly didn't hurt.

Finally the Atlantis twin: Love at first sight. The best RCT2 coaster yet with what probably is the best log flume. Perfect color sceme and the best architecture in the park.

    9/10

2nd only to Euroscape in my book (I'm rct2 only) and that is a close race. Accully, it depends on my mood, that's how close it is.

    Oh dear God.

The park totally kicked ass SA. I don't have RCT2 open right now, so I can't comment now, but it was very good (though no where close to my #1 ;) ).
Hope to see some good things from you from you-know-what.

This park is incredible, to say the least. Although it does not match up with some of the more recent parks in terms of architecture (probably because of the custom scenery that's all out today), the theming and the rides are amazing. The ideas in this park are incredible. SA is one of the few people that can pull of the Oriental theme so well. Most others don't do it justice, and even though the roofs aren't that great, it's really great how well it was done.

Overall, I think the best thing in this park are the rides. The Drachen Fire clone is a lot like the actual Drachen Fire (which I have been on) and captures the feel of it very well. The Beemer is great, very good pacing and lots of twists and turns, and the woodie is classic. I didn't like the flyer as much because of the relatively boring-ness of it (compared to the rest of the park), or the suspended since it was a little slow to be a suspended. A good one would swing way out, and keep the speed above 35 mph the entire time. All the other rides, though, are very good.

Great job, SA. Hope to see some more of this sometime.

This park emplifies what perfection means in so many ways, they so outweigh the few faults i can find, that i can actually place this park high above and other park.

Emplifies now that is a sweet word. ;) J/K buddy.

I thought the blue entrance was cool, and it was depicted nicely in the screen that came with the zip.

I really can't see why someone would not like the park. It combines everything in one park.

What an incredible park. Not a letdown at all..but I'll give an all area analysis anyways.

    Babylon:
I think it was boring, to be frank. The entrance itself and the gate were verrrrrry "zzzzzz"..but the coaster inside the entrance was inspiring. The interaction with the landscaping and architecture were amazing. Wooooow. Good stuff.

    Tulum:
This was also just "ok." Kukulkan-The Serpant God was easily the best coaster in the park, THE best suspended coaster I've seen, and yes I know I've just recently said that about Necleophile. Hehe. Annnyways, Kuxam Suum was a good coaster, yet nothing compared to the rest in the park. Good area, though.

    Lhasa:
My favorite area. This was very beautiful, and I found the flying coaster wonderful and beautifully themed...the mountain part of that coaster (the beginning) is just sooo pretty. The rest of the area is so totally inspiring, the archy is crazy and it just screams Tibet. Wow.

    Lemuria:
The last area, and definetely second best. It has a very pretty atmosphere, it almost takes your breath away. It looks just like Atlantis SHOULD look like.

Great job, SAC. Its a great park, a nice edition to your resumé. You rightfully deserve this spotlight position.

Thanks guys! Wait until you see my next one!  :SA:

Now why would you say that.....I must now see what you are building next to rival this.

Ok go ahead and email it to me ;)

I just wanted to say one thing, about the suspended coaster. I can never really get a decent idea of how fast a ride is going due to the speed (or lack thereof) of my computer. I thought the suspended was going slower than it should because of my computer's general laggyness. I guess I was mistaken.

    I love you SA.

This is easily my favorite park of all time. For that reason, I don't think I have to elaborate. (I'm not lazy ;) )

I feel that the most amazing thing about this park is the amount of time and dedication that went into it - and it definitely shows! Personally I think putting so much time into a computer game is insane, but that's my cup'o Joe. I was fortunate to have seen the park from its miraculous beginnings to finished product. Although that process leaves me less awe stuck in the end, I can surely appreciate every second of time SA spent slaving away at this masterpiece. The historical accuracy of the park is admirable and makes it more outstanding than a simple fantasy park. If you don't get certain aspects of the park it's probably because you're ignorant when it comes to the history of civilization. Read some books. The fact that pretty much everything in the park is original and not a rip off someone else's work adds to its merit. It's a fresh slap in the face! From the hanging gardens and the blue gate of Ishtar in the Babylon section to the mock eastern lettering and Himalayan highland architecture in Lhasa, the park shines and radiates out of every RCT square. Muy Buenissimo! Congratulations on it's completion, I thought this day would never come! And you're totally insane if you're making another park!

I've been lucky enough to see this park grow from its early stages and have a slight hand in its direction, so of course I'm pleased with the results.

It does knock Moonlight Magic off its #1 spot in my mind, which I never thought could be done.

And it makes its way to #1 on the list two, being the first time iris and I have agreed on the BEST park.

Babylon--My second favorite area, accuracy abounds. I've always wanted to see a babylon area and the few that were created looked like crap or looks nothing like babylon at all. It was a bretah of fresh air to see an entrance that looked almost exactly like the one in real life and various sumerian landmarks like the gardens, and the Tower of babel. 7th Wonder was a truly inspiring corkscrew and Eden was one the most detailed and grandiose rapids rides ever made. Suprisingly good after being made with 0 custom scenery back in january

Tulum--Best Mayan area ever, this one, unlike most, actually looks like an entire mayan city rather than simply a mayan temple (though it includes plenty), and Kuxam Suum is my favorite coaster in the park. The suspended coaster si the best one ever built to be sure, and is themed in like.

Lhasa--A cluttered tibetan market atmosphere abounds and is blatantly obvious in what it tries to pull off, and offers a self-opposition in the peacefulness of Lotus and the precariouly perched mountain temple.

Lemuria--My favorite area, most beautiful architecture.....ever, best log flume...ever, best beemer....ever, coolest entrance, beautiful ruined aqueduct system that plays the most major role in theming is geniusly done, best area in any park, ever made, period.

    9.9/10 rating, good show

Just saw it. WOW! Historically, pretty much right on. I thought the "sponsorhsip, i.e. Nestle, etc." was a very nice touch. The Flood is now my favorite flume ride ever made. The pacing, the atmosphere, everything about was wonderful. Also, the B&M was spectacular. Claude and Walter should take a cue from you and build one of these puppies quick.

The only complaint I have (and it's tiny), is about seeing the entrance gates themselves at the front of the park. Other than that, you pulled off what you were attempting, perfectly.

    Good show, old man!

    What a great park...

My least favorite area (ha- most parks' best area is worse than this!) was the entrance... but it did have what is by far the most beautiful ride ever created- Eden. Man, the detail is amazing... The DrachFi clone was nice... just nice.

Also, the naming of the staff in this park was hilarious!

My 3rd favorite area was the Mexican place... it was so quiet and peaceful to me, but it captured that central American spice very well. The wooden coaster was awesome, the suspended was great...

My second favorite area was Lemuria... the coaster was, as usual, awesome... the Flood was nice, but a bit of a letdown. I think you could have pulled it off a tad bit better... The simulators were crazy! On the whole, the area got a little repetitive, but overall it was just wonderful!

My favorite area of the park, and one of my favorite areas ever, was definitely Lhasa. The flyer was so perfect, so beautiful, so simple... I could go on and on. The roofs for that section are marvelous (props to TT... he made 'em, right?), and the way those buildings were situated on that little mountain were so beautiful and perfect... man, I loved that area. Every inch of it inspires me... this certainly breaks the cliche of Asian areas. Wow. Excellent.

Incredible is the word for this park. A #1 on my personal list, and probably many others.

(So, does this make Texas the best place for "breeding" parkmakers? SAC of San Antonio- RCT2 master, Fatha' of Houston- RCT1 master... who next? ____ of Dallas/FW? _____ of El Paso?...)

Anyways, great work. Can't wait for your next hit!

Parks like these make me want to quite! :'(

Awesome park. I know my park would have been a runner-up anyway being WW but at least I know that I'm defeated once again by one of the best parks I've ever seen! Congrats! :D
  • Toon%s's Photo
The only thing I did for SA was shrink the Buddha statue, which someone else had already converted from something else. The rooves are just a re-colored copy of a WW item.

Trust me, I deserve no credit for this masterpiece.
  • spiderman%s's Photo
I remember when you released the park unfinished, and i look at that steel twister just wondering, "How the heck is he gonna make that look good?". Well it turns out, it looks great. The B&M flyer is my favorite though, the way it just flows through the landscape is just plain beautiful. Probably the best spotlight since SWA, by the same person...

The park is classic SA, only modernized in RCT2. The themed area approach is a given, and just like some of his other legendary parks (the Legends series and Clockwork Dreams spring to mind), it uses the four-themed area formula to perfection. The first themed area is the Tibet-inspired Lhasa. A themed area based on Buddhist culture and principles, it features a terrific atmosphere, some completely exclusive ToonTowner custom theming, and flawless execution. It is here you'll find "Lotus", a B&M Flying Coaster themed to hang-gliding in the Himalayas, created in a dual-effort by SA and Joe Holland, each creating one half of the ride. The next area of the park is fittingly, Babylon, the entrance area of the park. This area of the park was completely re-modeled after SA pre-released this park long ago, so those that downloaded that version have nothing to worry about. "The 7th Wonder" coaster is a Drachen Fire clone, a SA trademark, and "Eden" is a truly beautiful rapids ride that takes up almost the entire center of the park. Next up is possibly the greatest themed area of all time (and definitely one of the largest), Lemuria, an interpretation of sorts on Atlantis. In actuality, it's the sister island of Atlantis, and although the themes are somewhat similar, there are some very obvious differences as well. My favorite ride in the park, "Eversio Lemuria", the newest in the line of classic SA Beemers (joining the two Leviathan coasters and Phoenix) is featured here, and is most probably the single best RCT2 ride created to date. This area is far from a one trick pony though, as you'll also find the beautiful "Flood" log flume, themed to the great flood of Biblical times. Not to mention, the best architecture and theming in the entire park is here. Finally, the Tulum area of the park, of Mexican inspiration, which features three coasters. First off, "Kuxan Suum" (or 'Road to the Sky' in english), a classy wooden coaster. There's also "Kukulkan-The Serpant God", a marvelous suspended coaster and even a ride for the kids, "Tecote", a Family Coaster.
