Oh that is nice to hear John, because it's true, although you'll probably kick my ass. Your archetecture is SOoooOOooo much more developed than mine.
Well i'm filling a 50 by 50 map for the hotel but i'm uncluding a couple rides and such supporting it. Would that be allowed??? I mean the hotel WILL COVER AT LEAST 1/4 of the map, and the map is new for the hotel. There is just a coaster a some flats attached as a "resort". Is this okay? or must i kill the rides?
Damnit... how can I win a contest that involves building rides... I suck with that stuf!... oh well.
I must have missed somethin because I didnt pic up on anything about if we are going to have blanks for the contests or if its just suppose to be a specific size.

Erm...Iris posted, and it's since been quoted several times:
YOU CAN USE ANY WORKBENCH YOU WANT
And ride6 - it's not uncommon to have rides at hotels (at least in RCT anyway) so I assume that's ok. As long as it's an integral part of the hotel, I guess.
But i'm not the one running it.
I think the easiest person to theme a coaster to would be Fatha', cos he's from a film etc, but i'm looking forward to seeing some really creative entries.
Good idea - but automatically allowing parkmakers to enter is yet another reason why NEW parkmakers cannot and will not be recognised. The hierarchy of parkmakers serves NO useful purposes and I believe it is all becoming too competitive. Where's the fun gone?
With $100 as the prize, I would hope Raven and iris want alot of talent, to be able to milk the contest for all it's worth, etc. It wouldn't be as appealing without the NE/non-NE parkmaker mix. If they have earned a parkmaker slot, why should they have to prove themselves again when it's already been done? Gets a little redundant, especially when we KNOW who would win. Plus, this way non-NE parkmakers actually have a SHOT at getting involved and playing against the best. If we had parkmakers doing the weeklies, there'd be a majority of parkmakers competing.
IMO, a non-NE parkmaker will get MORE recognition for doing well in this if they place high in the actual competition against parkmakers, on top of having to "prove" themselves to iris...

As John so rightly said - if you had Parkmakers entering these qualifiers, the final competition would be...12 parkmakers fighting between themselves. That'd be real fun.
Aside from this competition, I can't really think of any time when parkmakers have had a great advantage over everyone else aside from the possible 'fame'. And I think a lot of the time parkmakers get less constructive criticism than non-parkmakers do.

Anybody planning to enter the rapids competition, give up now.
Beware.
