This would be my list for this round:
1. Kumba

I don't know whether I interpret the round-title right, but Kumba has done exactly the sort of thing i would have done, had I entered. X Gon' Give It To Ya is a brilliant mini, and is perhaps my favourite from the competition as a whole so far. He's taken X's themes, and recreated them...in rct2?! And those letters, as WME said, are inspired. I really can't fault this entry at all - the entrance is NOT a carbon copy of X's - it has the same colours and style (as expected from a member-themed entry) but not only is it just in rct2, but it includes all the rct2 touches one would expect from a completely original theme. AND, Kumba has magically merged TWO examples of X's work, almost seamlessly. AND, not only has he done that, he's chosen one of X's most challenging parks, Evolution. The landscaping is accurate, the scupltures brilliant, and the coaster is far better than either of the other two entries. And then the letters.
Really, I can't see how this could fail to win...
I'll give Six Frags credit, and please don't take my support for Kumba's entry as an insult of your entry. Your architecture was really well done, and the theme was a challenging one. It's a shame you didn't use all that custom scenery (like the bog-trees), because they looked really good. I just think that naming a ride after a member isn't really a 'member-themed' ride.

Well, i'm sad that Kumba didn't win this round, and I hope he has the tenacity to enter again until he does win through, cos god knows he deserves it.
Roll on next round - and I sure hope that more people enter, because 3 is a pretty poor turn-out if you ask me...
As for the number of entries, I'm not at all surprised by the small number this round. One of the harder contests to come up with a good idea imo. I'm sure the next will be more prolific.
Six Frags made a great little park. Nice effect at the beginning, fun landscaping and solid architecture. Congrats!

However, I do think you should have won. No offense Six Frags, it was a fantastic ride, but I just think how Kumba pulled it off was slightly better.
I really didn't like SixFrags' that much at all. The coaster looked like just an excuse to hack while Kumba's had amazingly integrated hacks (even if the ride idea was jacked).
Oh yea, and Kumba, don't forget about how you lost to me in the April Pro Design Contest over at RCPro
Anywho, I feel he got jyped too. Is that the right way to spell jyped, or is it gyped?

No, just kidding. ride6 has alot of skill and potential. It's entierly possible he has created a great adventure ride. I would just like to point out though, that there are lots of other talented people here, and Kumba is probably getting really hungry for this position, after comming in second twice.
I'm nervius about Kumbas entry and stuff but if i don't have confindence in my entry who will?
