- Only Non-NE Parkmakers may enter the prelims for a shot at making the finals where the NE Parkmakers can play.
- You provide your own bench
- You can hack, use custom scenery, dimport, have your name in the park, whatever, just turn it in on time.
- Each entry must be a solo. You can't have help from another parkmaker.
- No RCT2 WW and TT.
- No RCT3.

The Due dates are each 11:59 PM EST. Late entries may be rejected.

Solo NE Design, Runner-Up, Super Runner-Up and Spotlight exemption
If you win one of these and are a Non-NE Parkmaker during the course of the prelims you will receive an invite into the finals vs. the NE Parkmakers and Prelim winners.
The 2 Bonus Spots
Two extra invites to the tour will be given out to the two parkmakers who made the best effort in the prelims. This will be decided by a public poll this year to try and avoid some past controversy.
The Judge
Kumba will be independently judging the prelim round to make sure things go quickly and the process is not overly complex. Don't worry, for the finals there will be 5-6 judges and I might not even be one of them

Too bad there will not be a high rollers, or a pro tour without prelims? I mean, it's a lot of work for basically nothing, and it hurts the quality of the parks in the end.. i think. Oh well.
Otherwise I'm looking forward to it.. Nice to sit back this time and watch the prelims go by before the actual PT begins
I see your point WME, but I always thought the prelims were one of the more fun features of the PT.. Maybe the due dates could be a bit more closer to each other, in order to get the main event started a bit sooner..
I think it's alright Kumba is the only judge during the prelims, in order to get a fast pace with the prelims.. It's most of time easy to see what is the best entry, although when it's close I think another person should take a look at it too (as Kumba already mentioned)..

And I'm not sure, but was there more prelims in previous PT's, coz there seems like very few at the moment.

I disagree with Six Frags and Metro mainly because I'm thinking "The more the merrier" for PT3. If we can get more people in, especially people whom we know can finish things, the big results finale should be even more fun. Even if it decreases the overall quality a little bit I think having 20+ entries instead of 13 would be much better.
Seriously, what's the point of having prelims if you can get in with a design?
If Kumba allows that, the required quality of designs should be upped MAJORLY.. Like Arch Angel quality.. Same as for RU, although that maybe less than designs, as it usually has more content in it, and thus requires more of the parkmaker..

What's the problem with the current Design requirements? Are you implying that some of the recent Design winners wouldn't be good enough for PT3?
and yeah, JDP, you need to theme it.
I'm not saying the recent designs aren't good enough for the PT at all, just to ensure the prelims matter this 'feature' should be reconsidered..
Remember last seasons we had some rounds of 1 or 2 entries? That's what we have to try to prevent.. And it won't help if you're allowing more ways, and especially easier ways, to get into the PT..

so actually it's just another prelim ... in that way you don't automaticly get the place if you win a design but if your design is good enough you will be picked....
Edit: Can we use Geewwzzz's (or whatever the name is) bench?
