My entry has been updated to include a demonstration of the REAL reason why Kumba hates it when all your scenery is full tile. It's a recurring nightmare of his.

Yeah, I know I did that, lol. I'm trying to work on it. I need to sit and just work on it. lol.
You may have figured out by now that I go by more then just "Best Layout" which winning a Prelim is NOT about, let me see if I can brake it down:
Layout - 55% Theming/Landscaping/Overall look - 40% Details - 10% Other stuff (who made the entry, when they turned it in, could they finish a finals entry, ect...)- 5%
Panic's entry was a big disappointment imo. He knows he can make a better layout then anyone this side of Fatha'... so he made the best one, which did not impress me much. The theming killed his entry imo, it was just nice and grassy, the #1 most easy look to pull off in RCT. I could have made an identical entry in like 4-5 hours. I also highly doubt Panic can finish a finals entry, so I decide to take 2 guys that I think tried harder and will produce a PT3 finals entires.
Panic please try another round, but really TRY. I can tell when people don't. It's nothing personally but imo you seemed to expect to just walk in and take it and I caught you trying steal a base or something. Maybe it's holding better parkmakers to a higher standard, whatever. Just please don't take it to personally, I would love to see you in the finals, but I want you to earn it.
Oh I manage to win a big poker Tournment, so now the PT3 Prize pool is doubled to $200
I agree that the layout was a bit "subdued" from the standard of Cavalcade (the one in H2H) or something, but that's because it was supposed to be pretty realistic. The landscaping and theming probably screwed up the realistic sense, as Posix alluded. But it wasn't at all because I was lazy/overconfident/doing the least I could - this did take probably 18-20 hours.
Kumba you're judging is pretty questionable i'd say!
i took a look at panic's and ling's, because i couldn't be bothered looking for my rct2 cd. and uh, panic's was the best fucking throughout. don't pull that boring shit, either, that entry was classy as hell. ling's was amateur at best. the foliage was pretty damn terrible, as was the coaster's pacing. i definitely think a great opportunity has passed by here.
Fuck it. Kumba, give the win to Panic. Please. I'm getting tired of all these people bitching over it, and mine was probably more half-assed than Panic's anyway. I have other entries going, I will try again.

No. I don't see why he should. I don't see why people should argue over results of things. It's all down to opinion. It's Kumba that is judging. So it's Kumba's opinion even if others don't agree with it.
Oh come on, guys. Don't you know that you're always supposed to give 110%?
Can only say my jaw was dropping on the floor when I saw this entry by Panic......(thanks Becky for putting them up!)
What a beauty, what a thought-of layout as well as layout of the map; even if making things looking nice with grass and trees would be "the #1 most easy look to pull off in RCT" (not my words and I doubt very much if that is true, considering the many examples of half-assed, forced landscaping and bad treeing, even from established ones.......) so, even if a thing like that would be easy, I take my hat off for the tastefullness and skill with which it is done around this one. Best of all: that woody would be great to ride........!!!
I don't think it's fair to judge the contest by anything other than the rct save games. As soon as you put that 5% (well, 4.5% out of 110!) down to the person it goes tits up, I think the best entry should always go through. Part of the prelims has always been choosing which rounds to go for, so if panic was "stealing base" then fair play to him.
Having said that, I can see the logic behind your decision Kumba, I think you were spot on with the first 3 rounds as well so 75% isn't too bad a start! And $200 is an excellent end, good call.
There is a B&M Round aswell.
So you can't use any type of B&M Coaster, and Wooden Coaster, which also includes the wild mouse.
And now please name 10 Coasters that are duelling and fit the above-standing statement.
If that is too hard, think about the fact, that there were B&M Inverted Coasters sent in to the Inverted Coaster round, though there is still a B&M round.
You should be able to come up with your own conclusions based on those facts,
Magnus

And I missed the "the #1 most easy look to pull off in RCT. I could have made an identical entry in like 4-5 hours" comment.
1) That's not true, and
2) No, you couldn't.

I will (try to) comment on the entries later ....
