The Wildcard! Round
The time has (Finally!) come. This is the last round and we have a wild finish to this Wildcard! round. Now JDP is either really smart or really stupid... since when can you make a full mini park as an entry? Hell he even has posted screens of this sucker! The balls on this guy, I mean he pused his luck once in the past when he must have slipped Cork some cash under the table to give him RU without me knowing. However in a round with no rules a mini park does count and I never said you could not post screens of your entires, so once again JDP proves to be the most sneaky, conniving little pest of a parkmaker and wins the final Prelim round. In second place we have Zodiac with a pretty nice B&M with good theming. Nice work, but in the future I hope to see more clever things from you. OLE sends us some LL goodness with a funny little wooden coaster that cuts right to the chase. Nice work, I really liked the station, but I am starting to wonder if your able to finish anything? RaPiPo manages 4th place with a pretty cool little bobsled coaster. Very nice work, if it was larger you may have placed higher. Last we have Xin, who actually put together a fairly nice coaster and manage to tie the record for entries in a PT prelim with 5.

Bonus Spots!
1. Levis - Leo earned this spot with two awesome near winners. His hacking skills are second to none and I can't wait to see what he does in the finals.
2. Zodiac - Managed to turn in three entries that were all pretty decent. He has the skill to make a decent showing in the finals even if he can't really contend to win it. Good luck Mike.
3. Xin - 50 Cent got shot 9 times! Well, Xin made 5 entries, so he's in but we may need to shot him 4 times

You guys were close to earning bonus spots or crossed my mind, but came up short to these three guys on my list. In a day or two I will start a public poll and a final spot can be awarded through it. All your names will be on the poll, however first I need to give you a chance to showoff

I thought the pro-tour was about quality.. But now it clearly went to quantity, with some doubtfully design-qualifiers and couple under par prelim entries if you compare them to the PT1 & 2 prelim qualifiers
Anyway, congrats to the winners, I'll check them out right away..
I think I'm going to past this pro-tour though; I rather spend my RCT time on my solo parks (and NE-group park).. Also, the PT3 has lost its charm imo, because of this whole new set-up.. I can imagine your point Kumba about all the updates NE gets with this new set-up, and I therefore think it's a smart choice of yours, but it lost its exclusivity to me..

Nonetheless, congrats to everyone who got into the PT3. I will finish up my entry (R E X) and send it in for Design, doubtful that I'll get it. I will hopefully be able to participate in the next PT.
I know the community is changing and we need to keep up with the times and change with it, however The PT is no long the elite event that it was before. The finals in the past have produced parks from some of the best parkmakers out there where even the last place parks were pretty good. When you look at the quality from some of those for this years final, for me, it’s nothing more than just a normal build the best park you can contest. What is the meaning of the Pro Tou now?
IMHO, there is no prestige to it now and like SF, I will be focusing on my solo and pass on this years event. Had it truly been the Best of the BEST, I would have been really interested. Yes I know that sounds selfish but it’s how I feel.
As fot the bonus spots, based on this years events, only one bonus spot should have been give and that was indeed Levis. The other spots should not have been given and I totally disagree with Xin getting a spot solely based on number of entries. Had they been quality entries with a number of 2nd places, I wouldn't mind so much.
Darren, I know you are trying to get more interest in the site and the updates have been great however, I think you went to far on this one. I just hope it doesn’t kill the event. Quality is always more important than quantity. I would have rather have seen 6 Great entries from the best parkmakers around in the finals than 20 entries that were borderline good which is what I'm affraid we are going to see this time

This may be a rather pathetic stance, but I support the controversial placings of Xin and Ling in this on the simple grounds that they need something to do this summer other than spam everywhere. Anytime they start posting too much, we can just tell them to go work on their PT entries. That's also true for JDP.
I doubt I'll enter, I'm having too much fun solo-ing. And before people whinge about why I entered a prelim, it's just as well I did otherwise we would have had an embarassing 0 entries for one round.
