Love a good backyard coaster build, not sure which exact track types you layered/used to pull of the PVC-and-Wood track look, but they work really well. Nice home built supports too.
Mini coaster for the rails, wild mouse for the cross ties. Wish I could've banked the cross ties too but it looks decent enough from every angle.

I can only hope to be this skilled with landscaping someday. The supports are a little much, but I think it adds to the fun, especially if 100% realism isn't the goal.

Reversing the track doesn't do anything. Think of it like a 2 lane road, no matter which direction you're going the cars are passing each other on the same side. I suspect the passing side was chosen because Chris Sawyer is from the UK. I think I subconsciously built this station expecting buckets would pass on the right (like I'm used to cars doing in the states).
