Dambuster Home Video Presents: Buxom the Sunset Sorceress, and the Purple Haze at Castle Death
Sick vibe. Awesome big ass invert coaster. Absolutely love the music, somehow very fitting. Gladly left it running in the background for a while.
Whole bunch of things I really like in this park. Grimblo's oozing goo coaster! What a fun layout. Those monkeys monkeying around on the supports might be a safety violation. The big caves with the underground docks look so cool!
Also love the boats with the little lanterns on them!
And then there's crucified peeps, heads on stakes, magic all over the place, like hell yeah I'd visit, maybe even smoke a little, maybe ride some rides, you know that's what they're for but I would also like to come back with body mostly intact. Super cool stuff though. Really liking this park. Floating crystals!
Murder in McAllan by the Lonely Hearts Club
Despite the dark theme, this is a lovely looking park. Too bad about Gustav, I'll miss his yapping.
This is one of the best wooden coasters I've seen so far. Very readable, easy to follow around, one sick element after the other, tons of cool interactions and stellar supports. Love it! The small family boomerang coaster looks awesome too, I love how naturally it fits in the environment. Glad you didn't go overboard with rides in a setting like this.
Even though it's usually not the most important thing to me, I can appreciate how much effort you put in the setting and backstory of this park. Love the newspaper blurbs along the edge of the map, the castle ruins, and the tramline. Also love how clearly the interiors of the big buildings are visible without having to use cutaway view. The handymen working an illegal underground farm, lol
Cliche af to say but god this is a difficult choice. I love both of these parks a ton (don't be fooled by my short reviews, I've spend well over an hour digging though each of these parks)

VERB:
Man I love this park, this kind of fantasy space theme is right up my alley. Great architecture and landscaping, love the walkways between the buildings. Tons of stuff stacked on top of each other without hurting readability, top notch stuff. The grape juice waterfalls look delicious but it's probably not safe to drink. The bright colours for the foilage is a bold choice but it fits the theme well.
This might just be the main base the explorers from Valley of the Kings came from haha
The Yards:
Sick. Love the architecture, the look of the old factory buildings with the grimy grey river running straight through it. The big factory is a bit hard to read, but that may be a me issue. Despite that there is a ton of cool details that caught my eye, like the tall brick pipes, the round storage tanks, the old steam train turned into a dance club. This is a place I'd love to visit IRL. Not a fan of the music though, I enjoyed viewing the park more with the sound turned off. Still enjoyed viewing the park a lot! The peep jam didn't bother me, rct peeps are dumb as a bag of rocks.
Oh and I loved the railway bridges!Fantastic job to both teams!

Wawel Castle:
Lovely scenic park. I really like the architecture of the castle, especially the front part of it overlooking the city. The coaster sits nicely in between the castle and the city with a few lovely interaction points.
I do with there was something like that on the back half of the map. As others had already mentioned, there's a bit of a lack of movement there. Maybe it was intentional, maybe you just ran out of time.
What is there however does look great. Love the star shaped castle walls, the diner boat, the peeps biking around, the trams, some peeps just sunbathing, there really isn't a shortage of content.
Naam Chalong Suu Oom:
Oh man I'm glad to see an NCSO map in this contest! (clever name, too haha)
And what a contrast with the Dambuster's park this round - A clean, quiet architecture focused map vs a busy ncso map full of hacks and tricks. One map is just nice to look at, but this one is so fun to explore. I've spend more time trying to figure out how you did all the tricks than just looking at the map.
Love the Test of Fear ride, the pagodas with the mine track, the mine track used for stairs. The test of faith and the naga are great too, there's so much creativity in all these rides

While I don't know anything about outside of a handful of memes circulating the internet, you really don't need any knowledge of the series to appreciate the craftmanship that went into this map. Any references to the media will be lost on me but gosh I love this architecture and landscaping. Incredible.
The high rise mountains with the water caves, the super tall buildings hacked into the rockwork (very much appreciate the DKSO objects used for that) and the fuming cracks in the ground, just sublime.
Love the Banshee coaster aswell, even if it is hard to follow sometimes.
Troubadours et Baladins
Brown is a theme right? If Jens were on your team that would've been my first builder guess haha
But seriously, love this theme as well as the execution. Always a sucker for medieval themes, especially when it's done this well. Love all the on-theme ride names.
These mountains are magnificent and that bridge in between is just chef's kiss. The height difference in this map is really something. Rondeau pour une Pucelle is so cute.
Montjoie! Saint - Denis ! is an awesome layout, but really a bit too fast
Having to choose for one of these parks is a very difficult choice,

Radio Park Tbilisi
Might not sound like the most spectacular concept for a park, but the execution more than made up for it. The first impression of this park is a bit messy, tall mountains with multiple layers of buildings, and a huge duelling coaster going through it all.
But the more you look at it, the more details you spot, and the more sense the park makes. I personally love parks with a lot of verticality, as well as brutalist/soviet architecture, and both were done so well here.
Easily my favorite building in the park:

The Royal Institute of Extraordinary Biota
What a vibe!
On first glance not as spectacular as Radio Park Tbilisi, stemming from the lack of verticality and movement. But once you look closely, this park is no less impressive. Such a different vibe, it's hard to compare the two.
I love the flowing paths and the classy glass-steel architecture. I almost always play rct with the sound turned off, but man this park is worth turning the sound on for. Would absolutely love to spend a late summer afternoon just hanging out here.
The only thing this park is missing for me is another ride or two. The swan ride is super cute and a big coaster would ruin the atmosphere you so carefully set here, but I think the park would have benefit from some more movement.
With only the first impression of these parks, I thought I had a clear favorite and the choice would be easy. But the more time I spend looking at both of these, the harder the choice got.
After careful consideration, decided to vote for the Royal Institute this round. I think the radio park is more spectacular, but the Royal Institute is park I could see myself spending a full day while losing track of time. It's just such a vibe. (also appreciate the shoutout, even though that did not influence my vote)
It was a very difficult choice, and I want to congratulate both teams on finishing such fantastic maps with such a tough deadline. Can't wait to see what else you got cooking!
