If I had been told 16 years ago when I first made an account on New Element that I would one day be an admin on the site, I would have been shocked. This community has been a valuable part of my life, and it has been a great honor to serve the community as one of its admins over these past few years.

 

I have also gone through some major life changes in the past few years. From significantly changing course with my career to rapid growth and advancement at my current job more than I had ever imagined possible, life has grown very busy for me. It is bittersweet, as it has left me with less time to dedicate to non-work related passions such as RCT, while undoubtedly setting me on a path for professional success. It hasn’t just affected my hobbies, to be honest - I have not been able to go home to visit family in almost a year. I wish I could have more time on my hands to balance work, family, and fun - but in absence of that, this community deserves someone who can provide more than what I currently can. As such, I will be vacating my position so that the admin team can bring in someone with fresh, fun ideas for the future of New Element.

 

I’m not going away, of course - I will still be around to assist our amazing admin team with some of the “behind the scenes” tasks such as park prep, Discord maintenance, and other such things as an “admin assistant” (working title) so that the full-time admins may focus on contest presentation, making the site look great, and truly driving the community forward. You’ll definitely see some CC9 solo work in the not too distant future as well. I would like to thank posix and Liampie for welcoming me as part of the team and showing me the ropes, Xtreme for being such a valuable asset to the community with his positivity and fresh ideas, and of course geewhzz for supporting the infrastructure that makes New Element possible. I hope that I am able to help make their jobs easier for many years to come, and I look forward to a great future for New Element.
