I didn't have RCT installed on my newest laptop, but I just installed LL because you asked, Louis. I doubt I find the time to create another full park, it's kind of intimidating opening up RCT and remembering how easy it used to be!
I wasn't fishing for compliments, but thanks Dr_Dude.
When the baby get's here I'll post a picture. They aren't very cute at first, though, it will probably take a year. -

Just dropping in once again and got to see this nice LL work on the front page. I can appreciate the effort and attention to detail here. I love what you did with landscaping and the foliage - nicely placed so that it looks good but not over crowded. I really like the support work on the coasters, it's beautiful. I've never been one to focus on the actual design of the ride so much, I'm all about the aesthetics, and they are beautiful here in the overview. Fun to look at some LL, thanks!
P.S. I'm sad to see the forum search disabled. I liked to come by every once in awhile and search for my name to see if anyone was talking to me / about me. I guess I'm selfish. hah Oh well. -

10 years is a long time for a game fan site. NE is more than a fan site; it is, like others have already said, a way to share an art form. I never would have played a tycoon game for hours on end, but building a theme park on a blank canvas that I could share with others and receive feedback is what kept me playing this game. I have played many other games but I have no other experiences like the one here. I've always enjoyed theme parks and I've always enjoyed being creative, NE is the perfect collection of the two.
I'm glad to have had the experience. Thanks to those who continue to keep the site running so others can have the same experience! -

To let you all know, last weekend after being away for over 8 months we moved back into our house. It's pretty incredible to not live with my in-laws anymore.
The house has a new roof, new windows, new doors, new sheetrock, new paint, new flooring, a bigger utility room, a lot of new contents, and a new steel reinforced cement "safe room" in the garage.
We still have a long to-do list and list of things to buy, but that happens with any move.
The town of Joplin looks a whole lot different than it used to. Tons of work has been done and there are a lot of new buildings, but there are a whole lot more empty lots. They are just now tearing down the Joplin high school.
Thanks for all the kind words in this thread! -

Just saw the additional posts. To update for anyone who cares, we aren't back in our house yet. It seems that the people whose houses were completely totaled all got big checks and were able to move on, where the people who sustained a lot of damage were stuck "remodeling." Our house will be nicer that before when it's done, but waiting this long is frustrating.
We've been doing as much of the work on our house as possible and are living with my in-laws. I actually like my in-laws, but we are more than ready to have our own home again. It's been over six months now since the tornado.
It seems that every time I drive into our neighborhood there is a new house going up, which is good news. Here is a view from my front door a few days ago:
