Can't believe its only 6 days til the first Saturday, this past month has been agonizingly long. Looking forward to watching the Sooners D-Line tee off on Max Hall.

This is actually a great opening weekend compared to some of the recent ones. Ok State/Georgia, Va Tech/Bama, and OU/BYU are all ranked matchups along with a ranked Thursday night game in Oregon/Boise. Even some decent post Saturday games. Colorado/Colorado State is always entertaining, same with Florida State/Miami. I can't wait for the five day football binge.

I'm so happy right now. God yesterday was awesome. And I called the polls too, I knew we would pass Florida and be #2 in the Coaches but just pass Texas in the Harris. As long as we win next week we go the Kansas City to play Mizzou, who runs a poor man's version of the Texas Tech offense. That game was just so much fun to watch. I have never seen that level of intensity or excitement from an OU team before. The defense played downright mean, they were just destroying people. It is good to see them finally gelling, and this is without a couple of starters. We are actually pretty banged up on D. Just so happy.

Still would like another shot at Texas, that was a great game. But I definitely did not expect you guys to handle Mizzou the way you did, very impressive. As much as I am rooting for some of these other South teams to trip the Longhorns up I just don't see who could do it.

...and then there's not. Since they got upset.

Red River Shootout--er, Rivalry/Showdown is gonna be sweet next week. Hopefully, this 1 vs 5 matchup doesn't result in #5 dropping a dud.

I wouldn't complain too much if #5 dropped a dud. Going to be a great game. Expecting a hard fought game. I think OU has looked more impressive this year, but Texas is not far behind. I would be more confident, but Texas has a lot of young talent so you just don't know how they will show up, plus Muschamp has the defense looking dangerous again.

Wait until after the Texas game to start throwing OU into the title game Ride. I have full faith we can beat Missouri again for the fourth time in three years if it comes down to that, but gotta get past Texas first (and Baylor for that matter).

USC will not get jumped at the end of the year by a two loss SEC or Big XII champion unless USC losses again. Remember, the outcry after the USC loss is an over reaction just like the gushing of how talented they are if they do not lose again will be an over reaction. Teams in college football are never as good or as bad as they are made out to be by ESPN.

Here is my guess at the pecking order in the polls at the end of the year:

- Undefeated LSU
- Undefeated OU
- Undefeated Bama
- Undefeated Big XII (Other than OU)
- One loss SEC
- Undefeated Penn State
- One loss Big XII
- One loss USC
- One loss Big 10 (Other than Ohio State)
- Two loss SEC
- Two loss Big XII
- One loss Ohio State
