Changing the propulsion system wouldn´t work or help.
The S&S launch uses cables and sleds as well. Its questionable that the S&S system could provide the same acceleration on the given track and with 10 more people per train.
LIMs wouldn´t work too. It would require a longer launch track to get the trains to the required speed.

Strange I searched for the story on german media and didn´t find anything about it. Usually the tabloids and tv would jump on a story like this.
What a strange coincidence that they BOTH had no idea of what was going on "down there". They really must have been locked away from the rest of the world.
Lübeck is in the north of germany, where people tend to be more open and not frantically religious. If this would have happened in the south I would have no problem believing this.

I wonder how all those "concerned parents" who didn´t find the apropriate words to explain "nipplegate" to their children (i.e. PR stunt) are going to explain the exploitation of a dying person on prime time tv.

Kid: "Mommy, why is this woman lying in that car wreck? She is not dead, is she?"

Mother: "She is just acting. Eat your cabbage!"
