They have a pretty solid lineup; with a little bit of work/trading they'll be a team to compete with. I know my prediction is bold but I'm going to make it anyway. You must be a Red Sox fan then, there is no way they're making the World Series -.-
And no I actually hate the Red Sox. Like, loathe.
@Kumba - There are 162 games in a season, not 182. -

My predictions:
AL West - Rangers
AL Central - Tigers
AL East - Red Sox
AL Wildcards - Rays & A's
NL West - Giants
NL Central - Reds
NL East - Nationals
NL Wildcards - Cardinals & Dodgers
World Series - Cardinals over Red Sox 4-3
AL MVP - Mike Trout
NL MVP - Matt Holliday
AL Cy Young - Felix Hernandez
NL Cy Young - Clayton Kershaw
I think the Cardinals are underestimated as a team like usual, but this time we'll go farther because of the incredible depth of our roster. We'll be able to power through injuries unlike last year, and the postseason toughness that characterizes our ballclub will be the trump card. I am biased, of course, but this is my prediction. -

I think assault weapons should be banned from ownership by a civilian, but a lot of people are still really interested in owning/shooting them. I think a good compromise would be to ban assault weapons from individual ownership entirely, but shooting ranges and other businesses may be licensed to own them for civilians to go and shoot at gun ranges only. Nobody needs to own an assault weapon--it's not going to protect you any better than a handgun would. But those who like them and want to shoot them can still do so with reasonable and appropriate limits. -

People like guns and want to own them, so they justify it by saying they need them for self-defense.
