Ask the Experts / Hello! I'm new here and I need some help to start my first pro

So, as a kid I always played RCT2, but not professional. I always looked at the creations in this site since I was 8 years old (Now 15) Recently, after one year break with Minecraft, I decided to return to RCT2 and to try participating in this amazing site. So, I found my old RCT2 disc, downloaded the 8 cars per trainer and now I'm ready start.

Now, after I downloaded some of the creations here to gain some missing scenery I am ready to build but then I got into the first problem - How do you start a project. Do you create a new scenario and build from there, or something else? And how do I hack the limited scenery items permitted?

    :D

Create a workbench using the scenario editor OR download a workbench and start building on it.

The most up to date workbench with the most recent custom objects is the H2H6 Starter Bench (my 2012 Workbench) you can get it in this topic in the first post:

    Welcome to the site.

    Welcome.

You definately start in scenario editor and there is no way around the scenerylimit, you'll have to think and compromise about the selection of items you want to use.
There are also more programs for rct 2 ,like parkdat and more and there are more versions of 8-cars trainer available.
Some tips: You can save up room in the small scenery tab by not using the standard trees from rct2, wich are placed in the small scenery group, instead use the 'hacked' trees that are available in the large scenery group. That already saves a lot of space in the small scenerygroup.

I'll attach the rest of the usefull programs for rct2.

Or you can do what Louis said.
Anyways good luck and have fun.

Welcome! Just echoing the other guys; definitely download those workbenches to get a good grasp of all the new scenery available.
There have been a lot of great parks released lately. I'd be sure to check out the big ones, like Dreamport, Six Flags Carolina, Six Flags Santa Fe, Legacies Themepark Europe, Europa Park World Showcase, etc.
Also check out H2H6! There have been a fantastic amount of incredible parks released this year. Sea of Sagas, Le RĂªve Parapluie, Lijang, Avatar, Atlantis Resort, etc.

The majority of us are nice guys who are more than willing to help out newer members. Don't get upset if your work is criticized in any way, and don't post hundreds of unneeded topics.
    Welcome back to NE:]
