I'm going to have to pretty drastically disagree with the existing votes. The entrance is so charming and totally holds up to parks that came along 1~2 years later. The foliage isn't totally crammed in so the park just feels totally different to the other parks of the time. The wide paths certainly help with this too, and it has a much more truly realistic sense of space than any of the other parks I've seen on this list (even the Hersheypark recreation!). The small shopping district on one side of the entrance and little water park on the other are both super cute, nice touches. I love the monorail over the midway and I love the SeaWorld-esque stage overlooking the main lake, even though that would go on to become a total cliche in RCT over the years.

Some of the ride names are kind of crap, but I'm just so willing to overlook it because Citrus Beach Giant Dipper is so excellent, and even Ornithopter is pretty solid. Overall it's just a bright, lovely park, and I think this may be a rare case where the park looks better now - since so many of its features have come into style - than it did when it released. I do have to say that the Special Edition's use of the back corner is better, but the boat hire in the middle of the lake is definitely a step back.

I agree Ling- this park is a lot closer to today's sort of composition than many of the old LL parks. Its pretty good, although if I was criticizing it from today's perspective I'd say its texturally quite sloppy. Its an easy mistake in LL but as soon as your 'theme' has 4+ different wall and roof types it all sort of meshes into a big colorful mess.

Danimation proudly presents Orange Valley by Launched_2_40! The Orange Valley Story - Years ago, Gary Sullivan owned and operated a humongous orange grove near Orlando, Florida. But when the Sullivan’s decided that the orange business was not for them, they packed up; leaving behind their beautiful orange grove. Twenty years later, Ty Dawson had a vision of an amazing theme park! Still in need of land, he bought the Sullivan’s land. By that time, the grove was very small but the rest of the land was a large field, which made it an ideal location for a park. But there was only one condition to the sale: the park had to have a section devoted to the history of the Sullivan's and an old fashioned haunted house. The terms were accepted and Orange Valley was a reality!
