I feel like I lack a bit of context for this one. It appears to be designed for peepability, which was clearly the trend, and it also seems to predate trainer use, so a lot of things there make sense, but the general blockiness of the zones seems to me to be in pretty stark contrast to the earliest accolades we have (granted, from almost a full two years later) and even some of the other Danimation Spotlights. I will cast my vote now, but I do still wish to ask anyone that was around: was this well-liked at the time, or considered good? I understand the Danimation Spotlight functioned quite differently from NewElement's, but I still would be curious to know if I have some bias that doesn't let me see it for what it is, just because I didn't enter the community for a couple of years after this released.
There are spots to like, for sure, like the main street that manages to be inviting and even semi-realistic despite the concessions to keep it peep-friendly but the foliage is awful and most of the ride designs are just odd. Invasion is the coolest idea in the park, and is the first thing to look totally unlike either the "let's make a real park" or "RCT scenario on steroids" philosophies that were popular at the time.
The second map doesn't really do it any favors either. Ultra blocky sections without much development of the themes, same awful foliage from before. The pier is probably the highlight here, though racing coasters are still mystifyingly common in these old parks and I don't really think it was necessary here, it just makes the pier look over-encumbered.
