As most of you will have noticed by now, we've undergone an admin change. It all began with this topic "Anyone want to own NE?" where Kumba, now name changed Darren, apparently had lost interesting in being ne's captain. A few days later, I went to the forums and found myself as an admin. Along with me, geewhzz and Steve had also been made new admins. Other currently active admins are Carl (formerly known as ride_exchanger), darkfire (the one with the coding talent), Adix, who has come back to us for the moment, and recently added there's also CedarPoint6, who we, as the team, personally wanted to become admin along with us. Darren told me he wants to concentrate more on his career now and that he's missing the time to babysit ne.
So what's going to happen now? The past few days we have been active in the admin forum discussing the future of this website, what we think are problems and how they can be solved. This proves to be a very difficult task in fact. Especially with an admin team instead of a single leader, it takes a few days until a decision has been found that makes everyone happy. Also, the situation is of course new to all of us, but with Adix returning and the ambition each one of us shares we're positive this is going to be good.
We will try to post more frequently from now on what are the happenings inside the admin team. And when we do, we count on everyone's support and constructive criticism. Everyone's voice counts. We're not making this website for us, we're making it for the community. In other words; You!

Now it is finally here. The Final Four of Micro Madness. In one corner we have #3 seeded Ride6. He's the guy you never expect to do much, yet in every NE contest he has been in he's exceeded expectations, by a lot! #1 seeded Xcoaster is the heavy favorite coming in, even if he has been a little lazy. The guy's ideas and exaction of them with micro detail is down right amazing. Then there is the guy who cooked up this contest and is even writing about himself at this moment! #2 seeded Kumba will look to keep his fire ablaze since netting the 2007 NE Parkmaker of the year award. Then there is #14 seeded Camcorder22. This guy came from nowhere and proved to be a giant killer. What can Cam do against three established and respected NE Parkmakers? He can win, just like he did against RCTNW and Cork.
Now it is time to start deciding which Final Four entry you feel is the best. The downloads will be posted here for 24 hours. After 24 hours a poll will be added and each member will get to help decide the champion with their vote. Voting will be open for 48 hours and whoever has the most votes after time expires will be the winner. In the case of a tie the poll will stay open until a vote is cast that breaks the tie.
Back in December Micro Madness started with 64 parkmaker. After months worth of matches only 4 remain... Camcorder22, Kumba, Ride6 and Xcoaster. However, due to the fact that everyone is lazy these days we have decide to just ask the contestants for one more entry each. Best one wins the Championship in early April!
In other news we have two new NE releases for you...
First off is a very nice realistic Runner-Up Park by JDP. He has clearly improved a good deal since barely winning RU with Korsareian Valley. Now he is back with a legit RU in Superior Amusement Park & Resort. Comments can be posted here.
Also in the news is a great little design by the up and coming Zodiac. Silhouette sports a great layout and some very pleasing theming. Comments can be posted here.
Next update will be in a week or two and include new parkmaker pages. An "on the radar" and "the list" update are long overdue, but coming soon...
